It’s one game for all the marbles Sunday evening, with the Montreal Alouettes (12-8, 10-10 ATS) squaring off against the Saskatchewan Roughriders (13-6, 12-7-1 ATS). The Alouettes are searching for their second GC title in three years, while Sasky battles for its first since 2013.
Kickoff is scheduled for 6:00pm ET from Princess Auto Stadium in Winnipeg, Manitoba, with the CBS Sports Network providing the coverage in the United States and TSN, CTV, and RDS in Canada.

SPORTSBOOK
The huge storyline coming into this game is whether Als pivot Davis Alexander can keep his perfect 13-0 record in the CFL alive, or will the Riders finally put an end to his magical run. Adding a layer of intrigue is the fact Alexander has been limited in practice with a hamstring injury, but from all accounts he’ll be good to go.
Even though Montreal is the underdog in this contest, I much prefer the 27 year old signal caller to win over the aging 39 year old Trevor Harris. I particularly am bullish on them, because they’ve won four of five versus Saskatchewan, and the Grey Cup underdog has gone 8-2 in the last ten ATS. The Als have won seven straight games that mattered, while Sasky has dropped four of their last seven affairs.
If Alexander is not able to suit up, or is limited, McLeod Bethel-Thompson is a seasoned professional – he’s won two Grey Cups with the Argonauts in 2017 (as a backup) and 2022 (as a starter).
The Riders QB Trevor Harris has a pair of GC’s he’s won, but both were when he was a backup in 2012 with Toronto and 2016 for Ottawa. The veteran was third in passing yards (4,549) and fourth in passing TD’s (24) on the campaign.
Running back A.J. Ouellette had the second most rushing yards in the league for SSK, with 1,222, as he’s been one of the top running backs for the last few years. Montreal counters with a RB by committee approach, with three players each posting at least 365 yards on the ground this year, though they may struggle vs the Riders top ranked rush D.
Key Offensive & Defensive Stats (Out of 9 Teams)
Going strictly off the stats, Saskatchewan has Montreal’s number in six of eight key categories, with the Als only holding the upper hand in total defense and passing D.
Saskatchewan vs Montreal Recent H2H History
The recent history between these two rivals slants towards the underdog Alouettes, who have won four of their last five duels against the Roughriders. This season, however, they did split the two battles, with Sasky taking it 34-6 in August and MTL winning 48-31 in September.
These two squads also squared off in back-to-back Grey Cups in 2009 and 2010, with Montreal getting the better of Saskatchewan both times, 28-27 and 21-18. The former saw one of the biggest blunders in CFL history, which was the dreaded “13th” man fiasco for the Riders.
Montreal missed a last second field goal to lose, but Sasky had one too many players on the field, leading to a penalty – the Alouettes took advantage with a field goal to take the Grey Cup and deliver a soul crushing loss to the Roughriders.
This postseason, the Als won the Eastern semi-final 42-33 over the Blue Bombers, then outlasted the Tiger-Cats 19-16 on a walk-off field goal by Jose Maltos Diaz to punch their ticket to the 112th Grey Cup.
The Riders made it to the showcase event for the first time since 2013 by defeating the BC Lions in the Western Final 24-21. QB Trevor Harris hit Tommy Nield for a TD strike with only twelve seconds remaining to lead the late rally for Sasky.
All-time, Montreal is 8-11 in the big dance, though a victory would mean four straight victories in GC appearances (2009, 2010, 2023 and 2025), while the Riders are a league-worst 4-15 in Grey Cups.
