The ceremony is over and on June 13 is the time to get some real World Cup atmosphere with three games, one following the next since 1 PM ET until 7 PM.

Here are the picks for the Day 2 at the Brazil 2014 World Cup:

Mexico (+130) vs Cameroon (+280), 12 PM ET

Mexico had tremendous problems to qualify, but those seem to be over now.  The Mexicans have advanced to the second round on every World Cup since 1994, and Cameroon hasn’t done anything remarkable since Italy 1990.

This game is about two difference styles, with Mexico leading the way, trying to score early.

The Cameroon team had problems with the Federation in terms of the payment they will get with every game they win at the World Cup; this has happened before and never ended well.

Best Bet: Mexico.

Spain (-155) vs Netherlands (+450), 3 PM ET

These two teams met in the World Cup final four years ago, with the Spaniard winning 1-0 with Andres Iniesta goal in extra time; however, the match was tremendously even, and could have gone either way.

Spain has a unique soccer style, but they might be a little old and predictable now.

Netherlands is young and hungry for a rematch; I expecting goals in this one, but after 90 minutes it will be a draw between two very powerful teams; the draw is valued at +220 in the soccer money line.

“I don’t think opponents will defend man on man against Van Persie, Robben and Sneijder,” Netherlands coach Louis Van Gaal said. “That’s why our new system is going to be hard to play against.”

Best Bet Draw:

Chile (-214) vs Australia (+900) 6 PM ET

Chile and Australia has the difficult task of sharing Group B with Spain and Netherlands that’s why this first game is a must win one for both; you can say whoever losses will be eliminated, and if both draw, then both are gone.

Chile leads the series 2-1-1, but their only World Cup meeting was a 0-0 tie in 1974 at the Germany World Cup.

The Chileans are one of the fasted most diverse teams in the tournament; they can attack you in several ways and they have enough tools to beat Australia and move on to try to overcome either Spain and/or Netherlands.

”If you look in terms of recent form, they’re [Chile] definitely the equal of the other teams [in the group],” Australian coach Ange Postecoglou said. ”The way they’re talking, their aspirations, they’re looking to not just get through the group but they feel like they can do something in the tournament.

”But it’s a World Cup. The pressures in the World Cup are unique. The best teams can crumble, the most unlikely teams can rise. Going into it, they’re a very strong team, but there are other factors that come into it … We’ve got to rise to the occasion, and I’ve got no doubt we will.”
