Caesars Sportsbook, with help from the Dallas Cowboys and Indianapolis Colts, made history last night as the first U.S. sportsbook operator to live-stream an NFL game on its sports betting app.

Additional “Watch & Bet” Games Scheduled
Caesars Sportsbook, in partnership with Genius Sports, will offer these “Watch & Bet” events for select regular season and postseason games for the remainder of the season.
According to a press release, the NFL appointed Genius Sports as its exclusive worldwide distributor of real-time official play-by-play statistics, Next Gen Stats data, and as the league’s official sports betting data feed to media companies and regulated sportsbooks. The partnership also included the rights for Genius Sports to distribute low-latency video feeds to sportsbook in key international markets, which has just recently been expanded to include the U.S.

“The addition of live Watch & Bet video streaming brings the best that the NFL has to offer right into the Caesars Sportsbook app,” said Eric Hession, President of Caesars Digital, in a release. “Delivering innovative technology like this remains a key emphasis for us, so being the first U.S. sportsbook to provide customers with in-app NFL live streaming isn’t something we take lightly. We’re thankful to bring an industry-leading new feature to our sports wagering app through our partnership with Genius Sports and the NFL.”
Live Bets Accepted During Streams
The video feeds for the matchups are delayed. The sportsbook accepts live bets during the broadcast as well.
The next scheduled “Watch & Bet” event will be Sunday night’s Los Angeles Chargers and Miami Dolphins matchup at 8:20 p.m.
”We’re excited to offer fans a new way to experience and engage with NFL content,” said Brent Lawton, VP NFL Media Strategy and Business Development, in a release. “Watch and Bet is an innovative step forward in our partnerships with Genius Sports and Caesars.”
This innovative stream comes just after the launch of Caesars Sportsbook Maryland, with the upcoming go-live date for Caesars Sportsbook Ohio approaching on Jan. 1, 2023.
