New York Reports Record-Setting Sports Betting Revenues

So, just how did New York sports betting kick off a new month after the Empire State experienced the most profitable month its ever had?
By setting a new weekly revenue record, of course.
The New York State Gaming Commission reported $80.9 million in gross gaming revenues for the week ending Dec. 7, the most profitable week of sports betting the state has ever experienced.
Massive Month Leads to Massive Week
The New York State Gaming Commission reported $80,972,677 in gross gaming revenue for the week ending Dec. 7, breaking the previous gross gaming revenue mark of $75,831,255, set just last month for the week ending Nov. 2. At the state’s 51% tax rate, in the week alone New York took in nearly $41.3 million in sports betting tax revenues.
The massive revenue week comes on the heels of New York’s most profitable month of sports betting since its 2022 launch. The New York State Gaming Commission reported $280,556,234 in online sports betting revenue in November, setting a new record for the state and topping the previous record of $248,906,754 this past May.
Over the span of October and November, the New York State Gaming Commission has brought in $519,301,983 in sports betting revenue, by far the most revenue brought in over two months.
At the state’s 51% tax rate, New York brought in a combined $264,844,011 in tax revenue for October and November. Additionally, New York sports bettors wagered more than $5.24 billion in the last two months, another state record.
The New York State Gaming Commission releases handle and revenue reports for its nine live NY sports betting apps, Caesars Sportsbook, DraftKings Sportsbook, FanDuel, BetMGM, Fanatics Sportsbook, Bally Bet, Resorts World Bet, theScore Bet, and BetRivers, at the conclusion of each week.
theScore Bet Debut Week
ESN BET rebranded to theScore Bet on Dec. 1. In its first week of operation in New York, theScore Bet reported just a little over $9.8 million in handle and $992K in gross gaming revenues, both decreases from the prior week.
FanDuel yet again led the way in New York, reported $204.19 million in handle for the week and $39.8 million in gross gaming revenues. DraftKings reported $185.7 million in handle and $24.2 million in gross gaming revenues for the week, respectively.
