New York Sports Betting Scores Super Bowl Touchdown

Millions tuned in to watch the Kansas City Chiefs defeat the San Francisco 49ers during Super Bowl LVIII this past weekend, and New York sports bettors also came out in droves to take advantage of the last NFL game of the season.
The New York State Gaming Commission revealed sports betting data for the biggest event of the year. New York bettors wagered more than $162.19 million in online and retail sports bets for the Super Bowl.
Online sports betting accounted for $134.4 million of the total handle bet for the game.

DraftKings, FanDuel Lead the Way
The New York State Gaming Commission releases handle and revenue reports for its nine NY sports betting apps, Caesars Sportsbook, DraftKings Sportsbook, FanDuel, BetMGM, WynnBET, PointsBet, Bally Bet, Resorts World Bet, and BetRivers, at the conclusion of each week.
The New York State Gaming Commission reported state residents bet $162,195,645 in online and retail sports betting for the Super Bowl, including futures bets. $134.4 million was bet during Super Bowl LVIII, with an additional $27.4 million bet in Super Bowl futures.
The vast majority of sports bettors used online sportsbooks for the Super Bowl. Customers bet $133,157,015 through online sportsbook apps on the game itself, and an additional $27,4129,629 in Super Bowl futures.
Customers bet just $1.28 million at in-person sportsbooks for the Super Bowl, with an additional $325,000 in Super Bowl futures.
The state reported $12,459,185 in gross gaming revenue for the game, which translated to $6.3 million in tax revenue.
As per usual, DraftKings and FanDuel dominated the state. FanDuel topped all operators with $53.58 million in online sports betting handle for the game, plus an additional $17.6 million in Super Bowl futures. Draft accounted for $52.3 million in handle for the game and an additional $17.67 million in Super Bowl futures.
