Ohio sports betting topped $1 billion in revenue for 2025, its most profitable year of sports betting since launching on Jan. 1, 2023.

The Ohio Casino Control Commission reported the final sports betting figures for 2025, with December sports betting the state’s most profitable month of the year.

2025 Sports Betting Ends Strong

The Ohio Casino Control Commission reported $954,257,935 in total sports betting handle for December, a nearly $200 million decrease from the November record-setting handle total of $1.15 billion.

However, Ohio ended the year with its most profitable month of sports betting ever, reporting $137.89 million in total revenue for the month, topping November’s record-setting profit of $133.03 million.

For the year, Ohio sports betting resulted in a total of $1,045,272,024 in total taxable revenue, its most profitable year of sports betting ever. At the state’s 20% sports betting tax rate, Ohio took in $209.05 million in tax revenues for the entire year.

Year over year, Ohio experienced a 15.6% increase in 2025 sports betting revenues when compared with the 2024 revenue total of $904.18 million.

DraftKings, FanDuel Dominate December

As was the case for all of 2025, DraftKings and FanDuel dominated the final month of sports betting in Ohio. DraftKings reported $301.02 million in total handle for the month compared with FanDuel’s $316.1 million. FanDuel topped out at $53.45 million in taxable revenue compared with DraftKings’ $45.5 million.

Bet365 finished out 2025 on a high note as well, reporting $75.5 million in handle and $8.6 million in taxable revenue.
