  • ESPN Bet is currently expecting a launch date in fall 2023
  • There are a number of key features that bettors are hoping to find in the ESPN Bet app
  • Keep reading to learn more about ESPN Bet and some of these hopeful features

Following PENN Entertainment’s blockbuster agreement with Dave Portnoy and Barstool, ESPN Bet is the most anticipated sports betting platform on the market right now.

The current launch date for ESPN Bet is loosely scheduled for fall 2023. However, we are still waiting on a firm date to be announced by PENN and ESPN Bet. You can stay up to date on all things ESPN Bet with our exclusive ESPN Bet review page.

In the meantime, the looming launch of the ESPN Bet app has sports bettors excited. The expectation is that this app will include a lot of fan-favorite features that exist at other sportsbooks and betting apps.

Here’s a quick look at some of the top features and services that we are all hoping ESPN Bet includes in their sportsbook and betting app.

ESPN Betting App Should Run Regular Odds Boosts

One of the best ways to play online when it comes to sports betting, odds boosts and boosted odds are a key feature that ESPN Bet should look to include in their sportsbook.

BetMGM Sportsbook, for example, runs special boosted odds called “Lion’s Boosts.” These are quick and easy boosts that users can access via the sportsbook homepage.

If ESPN Bet wants to capture the portion of sports bettors that like to bet regularly, they should look to include daily odds boosts. This would help attract and retain users.

ESPN Bet Sportsbook Should Sort Promos by Sport

We’ve all been there. We’re trying to use a cool sports-specific promo that we saw on social media or TV, and we have to scroll through a dozen promotions just to find the one we are looking for.

Additionally, plenty of sports fans only place bets on 1-2 sports in a calendar year. You don’t need your phone screen filled up with MLB promos if you are only looking to wager on football.

By clearly sorting betting promos by sport, this would make claiming these bonuses that much more efficient. You’d also never have to worry about missing a good promo due to lack of visibility.

ESPN Betting App Needs to Work in Each Legal State

The ESPN Bet app is currently set to be available in 16 US states:

Arizona, Colorado, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Jersey, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Virginia, and West Virginia

Obviously, the expectation is that the betting app actually work in these 16 states.

It’s not uncommon for users to run into technical glitches and problems when using a sports betting app. With ESPN Bet’s funding and overall size, this should never be a problem. Users should have the comfort of knowing that their sportsbook app is available to them no matter what.

ESPN Bet Should Introduce Early Payout Promos

Last but not least, ESPN Bet should strongly consider the implementation of “Early Payout” offers and bonuses. These have been made popular at Bet365 Sportsbook, and have been frequently praised as one of the best sports betting app features on the market.

With Early Payouts, users can settle a bet as a win early if the team they bet on is leading by a certain amount.

By implementing a feature like this, ESPN Bet would show that they are serious about being a user-centric sportsbook and betting app.
