After the first month of activity, the Jacksonville Breeze has quickly positioned as one of the favorites to win the title in the Football Legends Field.

The Breeze is the only team so far who have played two games this season and won them both. Much of their success in the start of this season has been their defense, that has allowed only 12 points of their rivals.

In their first meeting as visitors they won 27-12 against the Baltimore Charm, while in their local debut at the Veterans Memorial Arena had no trouble beating the Omaha Heart 25-0.

Their next meeting will be at home on May 31st against the Toledo Crush, who could not play their first home game due to logistical issues in transport equipment. The match against the Charm was changed to June 21st at the Huntington Center.

Saig Steinmetz has been the figure of the Breeze in their first two games, scoring four touchdowns and getting 231 yards on 28 carries. On defense, Steinmetz has also been the leader of the team with 9.5 tackles.

Another team that has surprised on offense at the beginning of this season are the Los Angeles Temptations, who in two games have scored 67 points, but after beating Las Vegas Sin they fell on the road against the Chicago Bliss at the Sears Center Arena.

The Seattle Mist has also had a good start by winning at home 38-24 against the Green Bay Chills. Angela Rypien, who was recently voted as the hottest athlete in the history of the Lingerie Football League, had just six yards on two runs and completed seven of eight throws and was intercepted.

The LFL is entering its 5th year and was recently called as the World’s Fastest Growing Franchise Sports, so the best of the 2014 season is still to come.
