Getting a celebrity to endorse your product is always a bonus.
As online sportsbooks branched out across the United States, we saw top operators reach agreements with high-profile celebrities to be brand ambassadors of their product.
Now, online casinos have tapped more into that market, getting some of the biggest names in entertainment to promote their efforts.
Here’s a look at some of the award-winning celebrities that have been attached to the biggest online casino platforms.
Jamie Foxx, Jon Hamm among BetMGM Endorsers
One online casino and sportsbook that has not been shy about using celebrities is BetMGM.
The most recent string of ads, titled “Make It Legendary,” have featured actor Jon Hamm. Hamm is arguably one of the most recognizable faces in the US, as he has also done ad campaigns for Mercedez-Benz, Progressive Insurance, Apple TV, H&R Block, and more.
The former Emmy and Golden Globe winner can be seen on the BetMGM Casino website and app promoting the latest signup bonuses and is featured on advertisements across all media platforms.
Prior to Hamm, BetMGM also utilized former Oscar, Grammy, and Golden Globe winner Jamie Foxx. Foxx was the face of BetMGM for quite some time to promote their sportsbook, but was also featured in advertisements for the online casino in available states.
BetMGM also worked with known actress Vanessa Hudgens, who helped promote their online gaming app in prior years. Hudgens was seen in multiple television advertisements alongside Foxx.
BetMGM also hasn’t been shy about partnering with former athletes for its online sportsbook. Former greats like Wayne Gretzky, Barry Sanders, Derek Jeter, and more have also been ambassadors for the operator.
Fanatics Brings in Kendall Jenner
One of the big new celebrity endorsements for an online gambling app during Super Bowl 60 weekend was Fanatics bringing in Kendall Jenner.
The reality TV star and socialite is one of the most recognizable faces in today’s pop culture and Fanatics to mock the “Kardashian Curse” associated with her sisters dating pro athletes.
Jenner’s appearance in Fanatics ads seemed to do well for the company as Fanatics Betting & Gaming CEO Matt King touted a large increase in app downloads over Super Bowl 60 weekend.
DraftKings Not Shy in Using Kevin Hart
Kevin Hart is everywhere.
He’s got movies, comedy specials, a YouTube show, and a podcast. He’s won a laundry list of awards for his specials and movie performances.
But, many of you probably see Hart regularly as he is the brand ambassador for DraftKings Casino and DraftKings Sportsbook. Hart appears on television, radio, and social media ads for the online gambling platform.
DraftKings even has a special promotion where a lucky winner will get a chance to meet and hang out with Hart during the shooting of his next DraftKings commercial.
The ads are regularly seen throughout a busy football weekend, with recent ads also featuring LeBron James.
DraftKings made a smart choice by reeling in Hart, who has a close relationship with many of the top athletes and entertainers around the world. Being able to have an ad with one of the greatest basketball players of all time is certainly a feather in DraftKings’ hat.
During Super Bowl 60, DraftKings added in Saturday Night Live cast members Colin Jost and Michal Che as new ambassadors of their online app.
FanDuel Features Rob Gronkowski in Slot Game
FanDuel Casino and FanDuel Sportsbook haven’t been shy about working with four-time Super Bowl winner, Rob Gronkowski.
He has been featured in the past as part of their “Kick of Destiny” Super Bowl promotion, something they also worked with Peyton Manning and Eli Manning on as well.
Currently, Gronkowski is featured on his own online slot with FanDuel Casino across the US.
All Gronk, All Gold is a standard 5-reel, 3-row slot game that features animated icons of Gronkowski, along with symbols that people might associate him with. He supplies some of the soundtrack with emphatic phrases during winning spins.
This game from White Hat Studios features a Return to Player Percentage of 94% and is a nice connection between sports fans and iGaming.
Neil Patrick Harris Singing for Golden Nugget
DraftKings owned Golden Nugget also isn’t shy about bringing in a celebrity name to endorse its online casino product.
Neil Patrick Harris has been seen in a series of television advertisements for Golden Nugget, lending his piano playing and signing ability to talk about the operator’s jackpots and golden moments.
An Emmy and Tony winner, Harris was originally known for his role as Doogie Howser, M.D. in the late 1980s and early 1990s. He then had a big return to television with his role as Barney Stinson on How I Met Your Mother from 2005-14.
Harris’ face can be seen on the Golden Nugget Casino promotions page along with his television and social media ad appearances.
