The Michigan online gambling industry has a new operator available.
On Tuesday, the Michigan Gaming Control Board approved the launch of Hard Rock Bet as a new Michigan online casino and Michigan online sportsbook.
Hard Rock will now be the official online gaming platform for the Hannahville Indian Community, which owns and operates Island Resort & Casino in Harris.
With the authorization, Hard Rock Bet is now able to offer online casino games and sports wagers through its mobile app and desktop website.
Hard Rock Bet Replaces SI in Michigan
The Hannahville Indian Community previously had SI Sportsbook and SI Casino handling its online gambling services.
SI opted to leave the state earlier this year, leaving the license open to be given to a new operator. Hard Rock Bet is operated by Seminole Hard Rock Digital, LLC. It completed all licensing requirements in order to be authorized by the MGCB.
Henry Williams, MGCB Executive Director, issued a statement on Hard Rock Bet’s approval.
“This approval reflects our continued focus on maintaining integrity, transparency, and consumer protection in Michigan’s online gaming and sports betting space. We look forward to seeing the Hannahville Indian Community and Hard Rock provide a safe, responsible, and enjoyable wagering experience for players across the state — and especially for those served by one of Michigan’s long-standing tribal gaming operators in the Upper Peninsula.”
Hard Rock Bet Becomes Michigan’s 15th Online Casino
With Hard Rock Bet getting the greenlight in Michigan, the state now has its full set of 15 online casinos available once again. All available iGaming licenses have been issued.
Hard Rock Bet already exists as a New Jersey online casino, and Michigan will be the 10th online sports betting market it will be entering.
Marlon Goldetin, Executive Managing Director-CEO of Hard Rock Digital, commented on the Michigan launch in a press release.
“This expansion represents a major milestone for Hard Rock Bet and reinforces our ascent as one of the fastest-growing digital gaming brands in the United States. Our launch in Michigan builds on our momentum as we bring the legendary Hard Rock experience to more fans across the country, offering a trusted online casino and sportsbook on our top-rated and easy-to-use platform.”
According to the release, Michigan online casino players can expect thousands of different online slot titles, including progressive jackpots. It will also feature live dealer games and exclusive titles.
