Just one month after setting a new revenue record, Ontario iGaming has done it again in September.
Online slots and table games recorded CA$277.8 in revenue, besting last month’s record of $267.8 million by $10 million.
Along with the 3.7% gain monthly, September’s Ontario online casino revenue was a 41.2% increase from September 2024’s $196.7 million.
When mixing in sports betting and online poker, Ontario tallied CA$329.4 million in online gambling revenue last month while drawing in $8.55 billion in wagers. The revenue was the third-highest monthly total in Ontario history, but the wagers were the most the Canadian province has done.
2025 Ontario Revenue Up Nearly 40% Year-Over-Year
September’s results for these particular online casinos in Canada show a continued pattern of growth for Ontario’s iGaming sector.
The province is now 38.5% ahead of 2024’s revenue pace through the first nine months of 2025. Four of the last five months have seen growth of over 40%.
In 2025, Ontario has generated over $620 million more in revenue compared to a year ago.
Surprisingly, online poker saw a decline in revenue compared to a year ago. September brought in just $5.1 million in poker revenue, the lowest mark since February. September of 2024 actually had $5.9 million in revenue. This marks the first time since March that online poker didn’t outperform the previous year. Wagers were similar, as last month brought in $144 million in poker wagers compared to $145 million in September 2024.
Ontario Online Casino Wagers By Month
It’s not a surprising correlation to see slot and table game revenue to be growing at the same time wagers are growing.
In September, iGaming wagers in Ontario reached CA$7.34 billion, besting August’s record of $7.22 billion by another $120 million. Prior to August, the province had never surpassed $7 billion in monthly wagers for online slots and table games.
In 2024 alone, Ontario only had three months where iGaming wager surpassed $6 billion. In 2025, the lowest monthly wager total was $6.07 billion in February. Aside from that, every month has reached at least $6.35 billion.
