Though a slight decline from August, US online casinos saw their collective net gaming revenue reach $902.5 million in September.
It marks the second consecutive month that iGaming in the country has surpassed the $900 million mark.
While the total is a small 0.9% dip from August’s record mark of $910.4 million, it is still a 26.7% increase from September 2024’s total of $712.2 million.
US iGaming Revenue Up Nearly $200 million
In the month of September, all seven states saw gross revenue increases of at least 16%. Overall, the seven states added $190 million in revenue compared to a year ago.
Here’s a look at each state’s gross gaming revenue from September. It should be noted that some states individually report their adjusted gross revenue (AGR), which removes promotional spend from their wins. This table reflects the total prior to the promo spending being taken out.
All Seven Online Casino States Continue Revenue Growth
While each of the seven iGaming states goes through some forms of peaks and valleys throughout the year, it is clear that each is continuing an upward trajectory when it comes to revenue growth.
The graph below showcases how each state is performing throughout 2025. Each has made significant revenue gains from where they were in January.
There’s clearly a big revenue gap between the top three states – Pennsylvania, Michigan, and New Jersey – compared to the remaining four states. Despite that, each state is still moving in a positive direction.
While the gains may not continue at the pace they are year-over-year, there’s no clear ceiling for how high US online casino revenue can go. With many online casinos still providing great offers, like the betPARX Casino promo code or the Hollywood Casino promo code, $1 billion in monthly revenue is definitely not out of reach and something that could be a reality in 2026.
