Manchester City (+150) at Sevilla (+190), Draw (+260)

It took a last-minute goal from Kevin de Bruyne for Manchester City to beat Sevilla in England two weeks ago (2-1); now the Citizens head to Spanish soil tomorrow for a rematch in the fourth fixture of the UEFA Champions League (2:45 PM Eastern at Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan Stadium), needing a win or a tie to stay on top of Los Rojiblancos in the Group D standings.

Group D is one of the stronger quartets in this year’s Champions League, also featuring Italian side Juventus and Germany squad Vfl Borussia. Juve lead the way with seven points through three matches, while City sit second on six points, Sevilla third with three, and Borussia are bringing up the rear with just one.

Man City’s only away game so far was a 2-1 win over Borussia, but they have also been very good away from home in the Premier League (3-1-1), and have ridden that strong play to the top of the table (tied with Arsenal on 25 points).

With a win in Sevilla tomorrow – and a Borussia loss – City will secure itself a spot in the Round of 16. But history doesn’t favor the Citizens, who have a dismal 1-1-5 record in Spain.

Though they were able to play City tough in England, Sevilla aren’t having a season to write home about. They managed to top Borussia at home in UCL action (3-0), but are sitting 11th in La Liga and coming of a 2-1 loss ot Villarreal on the weekend. The team is already 12 points behind league-leading Real Madrid.

That said, the Rojiblancos have won their last ten international home games; including their last match against a Premier League clubs (3-2 over Arsenal back in 2007-08).

While much has changed since then, it’s hard to back City given the team’s historic futility in Spain. With Sevilla at home and getting better value, roll with the Spaniards.

Pick: Sevilla (+190).
