#1 UCLA vs #1 Texas Odds – Who’s Favored in Final Four?

No surprises on the right-hand side of the Women’s NCAA Tournament bracket. The #1 UCLA Bruins (31-1) won Regional 2 with four straight double-digit wins, while the #1 Texas Longhorns (32-3) won Regional 3 with – you guessed it – four straight double-digit wins.

These two heavyweights are now set to clash in the 2026 Final Four on Friday, April 3rd, at Mortgage Matchup Center in Phoenix, AZ. Shortly after the Longhorns put the finishing touches on their 77-41 blowout victory over #2 Michigan on Monday night, sportsbooks opened the Texas vs UCLA odds.

The opening odds are almost even; Texas is listed at -115 on the moneyline with UCLA an ever-so-slight -105 underdog. The spread is Texas -1.5 with the Longhorns at +102 to cover and UCLA as -122 to keep the score within a deuce. The game total has opened at 132.5 with -110 odds both ways.

Due to the looming presence of undefeated #1 UConn, both UCLA and Texas remain longshots in the national championship odds. At prediction site Kalshi, UCLA is trading at 14¢ (equal to +614 odds) and Texas is trading at 11¢ (equal to +809 odds).

UCLA leading scorer Lauren Betts has been all-world in the NCAA Tournament, averaging 24.0 PPG and 8.5 RPG through four games, including a 23-point, 10-rebound performance in the Bruins’ Elite Eight comeback victory over #3 Duke (70-58 win after trailing 39-31 at halftime).

Texas’ run to the Final Four has been powered by the dynamic duo of Madison Booker (23.7 PPG, 9.3 RPG, 4.3 APG in the tournament) and Jordan Lee (18.0 PPG, 57.5 FG%). Booker reached rarified air in the second round, dropping 40 points in a 100-58 win over #8 Oregon.

What Happened in the First Meeting Between UCLA and Texas?

UCLA’s only loss this season was a 76-65 setback to Texas on a neutral court in Las Vegas during the Players Era Championship back in November. The Longhorns covered as 2.5-point underdogs.

Betts was held to just eight points in the first meeting with Texas, one of only four games this season in which she didn’t reach double-figures. UCLA shot itself in the foot in the first matchup. The Bruins actually shot better from the field (47% to 44%) and finished +2 on the glass, but were an unsightly -10 in turnover margin (20 to 10).

Senior point guard Rori Harmon (8.5 PPG, 3.3 RPG, 6.2 APG) played arguably the best game of her college career for the Longhorns, dropping a game-high 26 points – one shy of her career high – with three rebounds and five dimes.
