The Atlantic 10 tournament features some teams that could do some damage in the NCAA Men’s Tournament. The Loyola Chicago Ramblers have shown what an underdog can do with the power/prayer of Sister Jean, while St. Louis’ Robbie Avila is a college basketball legend who can get straight-up buckets.
This tourney will be incredibly fun to watch, and it will be hosted at PPG Paints Arena, home of the Pittsburgh Penguins.
There is one automatic bid for the NCAA tournament on the line, but the latest projections have at least two A10 squads among the 2026 NCAA Tournament teams.
Atlantic 10 Tournament Odds
The St. Louis Billikens have the best odds (+140) to win the Atlantic 10 Tournament, and they last won this tourney in 2019. The VCU Rams won this conference tournament last year, and they have the second-best odds (+180) to be crowned champs.
There hasn’t been a repeat champion of this tournament since 2010, when the Temple Owls won three straight titles starting in 2008.
A10 Tournament Schedule
The No. 13 St. Bonaventure Bonnies start the A10 tournament off with a matchup against the No. 12 La Salle Explorers at 11:30 am ET. The 11th-seeded Richmond Spiders finish off the first round when they square off with the No. 14 Loyola Chicago Ramblers at 2:00 pm ET.
The top 10 seeds of the conference get a bye to the second round, while the top four seeds get a double-bye into the quarterfinals wich will be played on Friday, March 13th. The St. Louis Billikens are the tournament’s top seed, but there’s no nationally ranked team in this tourney. They’ll take on the winner of the Rams-Revolutionaries 11:30 am ET on Thursday, March 12th.
The No. 7 Duquesne Dukes are one of the second-round matches that are already set, and they face the 10th-seeded Rhode Island Rams at 5:00 pm ET.
The four teams that survive and advance will be the headline teams for the semifinals, and both of those games will air on the CBS Sports Network. The semifinals are slated to start at 1:00 pm ET on Saturday, March 14th.
CBS will air the A10 Tournament championship final at around 1:00 pm ET on Sunday, March 15th.
A10 Tournament Prediction
- St. Louis Billikens (+140) at FanDuel
The St. Louis Billikens have been the top team in the A10 Conference, and they’re looking to build up some momentum to potentially do some serious damage in the March Madness. They’re led by Robbie Avila, who is averaging 12.6 points per game and is shooting 42.3 % from three-point land.
They’ve been in and out of the Top 25 this season, so they’ve been making some noise on the national level. The Billikens have four players who are averaging at least 10 points and lead the A10 in PPG with 87.8. George Washington is in second with 82.6 points per contest.
