An intriguing bowl matchup gets underway from the majestic confines of Fenway Park this Saturday as Cincinnati takes on Louisville.
Cincinnati (9-3) heads to Fenway after going 3-1 down the stretch. Their sole setback in the last month came at the hands of AAC champions Tulane at the end of the regular season.
Meanwhile, the Louisville Cardinals (7-5) enter this one after a 26-13 loss to Kentucky on November 26th.

Louisville enters the Fenway Bowl as 1.5-point favorites. While the total for Cincinnati vs Louisville sits at 42.5. Unsurprisingly, bettors are all over Cincinnati, as 86% of bets placed ATS like the Bearcats to cover.
Cincinnati Betting Trends
Cincinnati head coach Luke Fickell left for Wisconsin after the regular season ended, and won’t coach in the bowl. In an odd twist of fate, Fickell was replaced by now-former Louisville head coach Scott Sarsfield. Offensive coordinator Kerry Coombs will take over in the interim for the Bearcats. In other news both tight end Josh Whyle and receiver Tre Tucker won’t play to prepare for the NFL draft.
Bearcats quarterback Ben Bryant will aim to take advantage of a vulnerable Cardinal secondary on Saturday. Bryant has been productive this season, throwing for 2,732 yards with 21 touchdowns and just 7 interceptions.

On defense, linebacker Ivan Pace Jr. has been named a member of the AP All-American Team. The senior has put up 119 tackles and 8 sacks to pace the Bearcats defense. Additionally, Pace Jr. has been named PFF’s MVP of college linebackers for the season.
Once sports betting darlings, Cincinnati has been terrible against the spread this season. The Bearcats are just 3-8-1 ATS and 1-6-1 in their last 8 games.
Louisville Betting Trends
With their former head coach set to take over on the other sideline, Louisville will be coached by none other than former New England Patriots star Deion Branch in the Fenway Bowl.
On top of that, Cardinals quarterback Malik Cunningham has opted out for the NFL draft, leaving backup Brock Domann to call the signals on Saturday. Thankfully for Domann, the Cardinal ground game has led the way this season. Louisville has averaged 193.8 yards per contest on the ground, while top back Jawhar Jordan has over 700 yards rushing and two touchdowns.
Unfortunately, running back Tiyon Evans and receiver Tyler Hudson will both miss the Fenway Bowl through injury.

On the other side of the ball, top cornerback Kei’Trel Clark has also opted out for the draft and won’t play this weekend.
Bettors should note that the Cardinal are 5-2 against the spread in their last seven games played.
Cincinnati vs Louisville Prediction
Louisville is simply being given too much credit with this line. Although the Cardinal have been competitive this season, it can be argued that Cincinnati has faced a tougher schedule this year. Moreover, the Bearcats have surrendered just 186 passing yards per game this season.
Ultimately, Cincinnati has the better overall football team, and their starting quarterback will take the Fenway field this Saturday. Bet on the Bearcats to win.
