The recent games have generally been blowout wins for Clemson, with the Tigers winning the last four matchups by an average of over 30 points. The lone Miami win in the past five meetings was a 30-21 victory in Clemson in 2010.
Clemson leads the all-time series 7-6 after winning the last four meetings. The series has featured some memorable and competitive games in the 2000s, including three straight overtime thrillers from 2004-2009.
Overall, the recent history favors Clemson, as the Tigers have clearly dominated the series since 2015. However, Miami remains a talented team capable of competing with Clemson in any given year.
Tigers Betting Analysis
Clemson enters the game with a 4-2 record and is coming off a 17-12 win over Wake Forest back in Week 6. The Tigers relied primarily on Will Shipley and their ground game in the victory, rushing for 207 yards against the Deamon Deacons.
Clemson’s offense is led by freshman quarterback Cade Klubnik, who has thrown for 976 yards, 11 touchdowns and two interceptions so far this season. Running back Will Shipley is the team’s leading rusher with 450 yards and two touchdowns.

The Tigers’ defense has been strong, allowing just 19.3 points per game (27th in FBS). Linebacker Jeremiah Trotter Jr. leads the team with 42 tackles, while cornerback Nate Wiggins has two interceptions.
Clemson is 3-3 against the spread (ATS) this season and three of their games have gone under the total. They are 2-1 ATS and 1-2 on over/unders in their last three games.
Hurricanes Betting Analysis
Miami is also 4-2 on the season after losing 41-31 to North Carolina in their last game. While UNC QB Drake Maye threw for 273 yards and a couple of touchdowns against the Hurricanes, it was the Tar Heels explosive ground game that dominated with 235 rushing yards.
Quarterback Tyler Van Dyke has thrown for 1,297 yards, 10 touchdowns and four interceptions to lead Miami’s offense. Running back Henry Parrish Jr. is the leading rusher with 419 yards and three scores.

The Hurricanes defense allows an impressive 19.0 points per game, which is 25th in FBS. Linebacker Wesley Bissainthe paces the team with 36 tackles and 2.5 sacks. The issue is the Canes have had one of the easier strengths of schedule to date.
Miami is 2-4 ATS this year and three of their games have gone over the total. They are 1-2 ATS and 2-1 on over/unders over their last three contests.
Clemson vs Miami Prediction
This is a critical matchup when it comes to both team’s chances of winning the ACC Title this season. While Miami has home-field advantage, Clemson appears to have the edge on both sides of the ball.
The Hurricanes haven’t beaten an ACC team at Hard Rock Stadium so far this season, and if the lackluster turnout for games that aren’t against FSU is any indicator, they won’t have much of a “home-field” advantage on Saturday.
Miami QB Tyler Van Dyke was recently spotted in an ace bandage, which is raising questions about his availability for Saturday’s game. Vegas has moved the line from 2.5 to 3-3.5 as it’s unclear whether Van Dyke will play.
Our Clemson vs Miami prediction is to take Clemson to win by at least a field goal, as the Tigers’ elite defense should be able to slow down the Hurricanes’ offensive playmakers.
On offense, Klubnik and the Clemson ground game match up well against a Miami rush defense that has struggled throughout the year.
