Florida vs LSU Player Prop #1: Garrett Nussmeier 3+ Passing Touchdowns (+182)

Garrett Nussmeier has started the 2025 college football season on fire. The future first-round NFL Draft pick has thrown for 469 yards and two touchdowns while completing 63% of passes. Florida’s secondary has been routinely gashed this season, and Nussmeier’s got the weapons to exploit mismatches.

Florida began the season with PFF’s 4th ranked defensive line, but the Gators are just 74th in PFF pass-rush grade so far. Meanwhile, Nussmeier’s blistering release has greatly improved the play of his offensive line, who rank 31st in PFF pass-blocking grade.

The Gators have more than enough talent to force LSU into pass-heavy situations, and I think Brian Kelly puts the game in his quarterback’s hands, especially in the red zone.

Florida vs LSU Player Prop #2: DJ Lagway Under 208.5 Passing Yards

DJ Lagway has all the tools to be a future college football star. However, LSU’s defense is the real deal. The Tigers are holding opponents to 0.77 points per drive (top-25 in the nation), and just 3.7 yards per play. Additionally, Florida’s offensive line has been a sieve, allowing 18 tackles for loss already.

Against LSU’s defensive front, who shut down Clemson’s running game cold, Lagway is going to face heat.

The Gators offense sputtered last week, and with Billy Napier calling plays tighter now, expect a run-heavy script to try to stay in the game. Lagway’s EPA per dropback slips under pressure, and he’ll have rushers in his face all night.

PickOdds
PickOdds
Caden Durham 50+ rushing yards-114
Baron Brown Over 4.5 receptions+102
Total Florida vs LSU Parlay Odds+361

I’m buying the spread under the key number of seven for the Tigers tonight. LSU is 6-1 SU in its last seven games at home against Florida, and after a sleepy win against Louisiana Tech, Brian Kelly will have his troops dialed in for this key SEC matchup.

Tack on Caden Durham’s rushing yards. As LSU’s lead rusher, he’ll find plenty of holes against Florida. The Gators front is aggressive, but vulnerable after allowing 197 rushing yards to USF last week. In what should be a close game early, I’m betting the Tigers pound the rock to set up the play-action for Nussmeier.

Finally, Brown’s been Nussmeier’s favorite target early this season, pulling in 6.5 receptions per game on a 26% target share. Brown hauled in eight catches for 94 yards last week, after putting up five receptions against Clemson in Week 1.

Look for Nuss to pepper Brown with targets against Florida’s shaky defensive backs, who gave up 14.4 yards after catch per reception last week against USF. Brown is both a deep threat and a quick route monster who boasts a 78% catch rate this season.
