College GameDay returns to Athens for a massive top-10 SEC showdown this Saturday. The show sets up at Myers Quad as the No. 5 Ole Miss Rebels visit No. 9 Georgia in a game with major playoff implications.
This is the second time GameDay has featured a Georgia game this season. Country music star Jelly Roll joins as celebrity guest picker, with live performances from Luke Combs and Bailey Zimmerman adding to the tailgate atmosphere in the college football odds.
College GameDay Details
The pit opens at 6:30 AM ET with fans already lining up Friday night. Georgia’s 8-2 record when hosting GameDay adds extra energy for Bulldog faithful looking to bounce back from last year’s Ole Miss upset.
Both teams enter undefeated in conference play. Ole Miss sits at 6-0 overall while Georgia is 5-1, their only loss coming at Alabama. The winner takes control of the SEC race with tiebreakers potentially deciding the championship game.

Week 7 GameDay Results
Week 7 saw better results for the crew after several rough weeks. Herbstreit led the way at 6-3, though he passed on the Texas-Oklahoma pick. Saban and McAfee both went 6-4, correctly calling Alabama’s road win at Missouri.
The biggest miss came on Indiana’s upset of Oregon. Only McAfee backed the Hoosiers in that spot. The crew also whiffed on USC beating Michigan, with only guest picker Sabrina Ionescu getting that one right. She finished 5-5 in her debut appearance.
Ole Miss vs Georgia Odds & Analysis
Kickoff: 3:30 PM ET on ABC at Sanford Stadium
The line dropped two points from Georgia -9.5 to -7.5, with sharp money backing the Rebels. Ole Miss shocked Georgia 28-10 in Oxford last year, but the Rebels haven’t won in Athens in 29 years.
Ole Miss brings an explosive offense averaging 515.3 yards per game. Trinidad Chambliss has been electric at quarterback with 311 passing yards per game. Georgia counters with a defense allowing just 17 points per contest.
The key matchup? Ole Miss’s ground game averaging 208.7 yards at 6.6 yards per carry against Georgia’s run defense allowing just 91.7 yards per game. If the Rebels can establish the run, they’ll keep this close.
- Our Pick: Ole Miss +7.5 (-120)
Other Week 8 Featured Games
Tennessee at Alabama
Line: Alabama -8.5 | Total: 58.5 | Kickoff: 7:30 PM ET on ABC
The Third Saturday in October delivers again. The line plummeted from Alabama -12.5 to -8.5 with sharp money on Tennessee. The Vols’ explosive offense averages 48.2 points per game, tops in the nation.
Alabama’s passing game should feast on Tennessee’s 124th-ranked pass defense. Ty Simpson’s thrown 20 TDs to just one pick as a team. Tennessee hasn’t won in Tuscaloosa since 2003, but their offense gives them a shot to keep this within the number.
- Pick: Tennessee +8.5 (-115)
USC at Notre Dame
Line: Notre Dame -9.5 | Total: 60.5 | Kickoff: 7:30 PM ET on NBC
The total jumped seven points from 53.5 to 60.5, but forecasted wind and rain could impact both passing attacks. USC’s Jayden Maiava completes 73.1% of his passes for 325.8 yards per game.
Notre Dame’s home field advantage at night is significant. The Irish have a +6 turnover differential and should create a key mistake or two. Weather conditions favor the under after the market overreacted.
- Pick: Under 60.5 (-105)
Washington at Michigan
Line: Michigan -4.5 | Total: 50.5 | Kickoff: 12:00 PM ET on FOX
A massive five-point move from Michigan -9.5 to -4.5 shows sharp respect for Washington. The Huskies average 39.2 points per game behind Demond Williams’ efficient passing.
Michigan’s ground game averages 216.3 yards but faces Washington’s elite run defense allowing just 83.2 yards per game. The Wolverines are just 1-2 ATS when favored by five or more this season.
- Pick: Washington +4.5 (-112)
LSU at Vanderbilt
Line: Vanderbilt -2.5 | Total: 48.5 | Kickoff: 12:00 PM ET on ABC
The week’s wildest line move saw this flip from LSU -3.5 to Vanderbilt -2.5, a six-point swing. LSU’s elite defense allows just 9.8 points per game, but their offense has been anemic.
Vanderbilt’s ground game averages 208.7 yards at 6.6 yards per carry. Their offensive line has allowed just four sacks all season. The Commodores control this game at home.
- Pick: Vanderbilt -2.5 (-108)
Line Shopping Guide
Friday’s upset saw Louisville shock Miami 52-45 as a massive underdog. The Cardinals scored 21 fourth-quarter points to stun the previously unbeaten Hurricanes. GameDay’s Athens showdown highlights a loaded Saturday slate with playoff implications across the board.
