Friday night’s primetime clash between Georgia Tech and Colorado at Folsom Field sets up perfectly for player props. The Yellow Jackets bring back their entire offensive core while Colorado replaces Shedeur Sanders and Travis Hunter with a roster full of new faces.

Haynes King returns for his sixth year of college football with 25 total touchdowns from last season. He faces a Colorado defense that allowed the second-worst receiving yards per game to running backs in the entire FBS. I’m targeting that matchup in my Georgia Tech vs Colorado college football player props.

Malik Rutherford (GT)44.5 (Ov -115 / Un -115)+160
Omarion Miller (COL)48.5 (Ov -115 / Un -115)+150
Drelon Miller (COL)39.5 (Ov -115 / Un -115)+210

Georgia Tech’s Haynes King sits at just 40.5 rushing yards despite averaging 53.4 per game last season and rushing for 11 touchdowns. Meanwhile, Colorado’s new quarterback Kaidon Salter is tied for the most explosive runs among FBS quarterbacks since 2023 with 66.

The receiving props look particularly soft for Georgia Tech’s top targets. Eric Rivers at 52.5 and Malik Rutherford at 44.5 both seem low given Colorado’s defensive losses and Georgia Tech’s run-heavy attack that sets up play-action.

Georgia Tech vs Colorado Prop Pick #1: Haynes King Over 40.5 Rushing Yards

This line is way too low for a quarterback who rushed for 587 yards and 11 touchdowns last season. King hit this number in six of his 11 games, including a 110-yard explosion against Georgia in their eight-overtime thriller.

Colorado’s run defense ranked 70th in FBS last season, and they’ve lost key pieces in the front seven. Mobile quarterbacks like Jalon Daniels torched them on the ground last year. King’s even more dangerous as a runner with his 49 explosive runs over the past two seasons, ranking 10th among all FBS quarterbacks.

StatTotal
Rush Yards Allowed / Game150.4
FBS Rank71st
Mobile QB Rush Yards Allowed75.3

The altitude at Folsom Field gets overblown since these are elite athletes, but it could actually help King’s rushing production. Defenders wearing down late opens up scramble lanes, and King’s experience in big games means he’ll take what the defense gives him.

With Colorado likely focusing on stopping Jamal Haynes, King should have plenty of opportunities to keep the ball on read options and designed runs. His 40.5-yard prop feels like a gift.

Georgia Tech vs Colorado Prop Pick #2: Jamal Haynes Anytime Touchdown

Jamal Haynes found the end zone 12 times last season (9 rushing, 3 receiving) and now faces one of the weaker run defenses in college football. At -175, he’s the most likely player to score on either team, and for good reason.

Colorado allowed 150.9 rushing yards per game last season, which ranks in the bottom half of FBS. They were especially bad in the red zone at home, where visiting teams converted 85% of their trips into touchdowns. That’s where Haynes thrives with his converted wide receiver vision and 5.6 yards per carry average.

Georgia Tech scored touchdowns on 87% of their red zone drives last season, matching Colorado’s defensive futility. The Yellow Jackets’ ground game with Haynes and King gives them multiple options near the goal line, but Haynes is the primary weapon.

With Georgia Tech as 4.5-point road favorites, they’re expected to score around 28 points. That should mean at least three offensive touchdowns, and Haynes has the best chance to punch one in. His receiving ability also gives him touchdown upside in the passing game.

Georgia Tech vs Colorado Parlay Picks

The correlation between these picks is perfect. I’m combining both rushing overs with Georgia Tech to cover the spread for a +320 same-game parlay.

Georgia Tech vs Colorado Parlay Analysis

This parlay captures exactly how Georgia Tech dominates this matchup. King keeps the defense honest with his legs, while Haynes punches it in when they get close. Against Colorado’s revamped defensive line, these props offer solid value.

The correlation is strong here. If Georgia Tech covers as road favorites, they’re scoring multiple touchdowns. Haynes, as their primary red zone weapon with 12 TDs last season, has a great shot to find the end zone. King’s rushing production keeps drives alive and sets up scoring opportunities.

Colorado’s defensive transfers won’t have the chemistry needed to stop Georgia Tech’s ground attack in Week 1. The Yellow Jackets were one of my top win total bets for a reason – they have the continuity and physicality to dominate this matchup from start to finish.
