The No. 4 Georgia Bulldogs (11-1, 7-1 in the SEC) are in their fifth-straight SEC Title Game. This year, the ‘Dawgs will face the No. 10 Alabama Crimson Tide (10-2, 7-1 in the SEC). Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta will host the SEC Championship Game at 4:00 PM ET on Saturday, Dec. 6. ABC will broadcast the game.
Keep reading for the opening line for Georgia vs Alabama as well as my early Georgia vs Alabama prediction for this regular-season rematch.
Opening Georgia vs Alabama Odds
The opening line has Georgia as 1.5-point spread favorite for the SEC Title Game at FanDuel, with the total for Georgia vs Alabama set at 47.5. There is equal -110 juice on both the Over and the Under in the opening SEC Championship line.
In terms of the moneyline, UGA is a short -120 favorite, giving the Bulldogs 54.5% implied probability to win the game outright. The Tide have 50% implied win probability based on their +100 moneyline. In other words, we should be in for another nail-biting thriller between these two SEC powerhouses.
In their previous matchup, Alabama covered (and won outright) as 2.5-point underdogs in Athens. Under 53.5 hit as the Tide won 24-21. The oddsmakers are once again doubting the Crimson Tide in the CFB odds.

Georgia vs Alabama Prediction for SEC Championship
- Georgia 27, Alabama 24
My Georgia vs Alabama early prediction has the Bulldogs exacting their revenge over the Tide, clinching a bye through the first round of the CFP Bracket. Alabama will be relegated to a first-round game, likely going on the road.
All stats are accurate through Nov. 28.
Georgia Bulldogs Analysis
Georgia has won 11 games for the eighth consecutive non-COVID season. Kirby Smart has an utterly ridiculous 116-20 record in Athens. In 12 previous appearances in the SEC Title Game, the Bulldogs are 5-7. This is their fifth consecutive appearance and eighth in the last nine seasons.
Gunner Stockton won’t win the Heisman, but he could be invited to New York as a finalist. The first-year starter has 28 total touchdowns and just shy of 3,000 total yards. He was particularly sharp in his last SEC game, dominating Texas with five total touchdowns.
Nate Frazier has been a productive lead back for the ‘Dawgs. He is averaging a solid 5.6 yards per carry and has six total touchdowns on the season. He should topple the 1,000-yard mark at some point in UGA’s CFP run. Second running back Chauncey Bowens has added six rushing touchdowns, second to Stockton’s eight.
Zachariah Branch is one of the premier possession receivers in the SEC. He leads the SEC with 68 catches, contributing 691 yards and four touchdowns for the Bulldogs. Branch is by far the most productive receiver, but he is tied with Noah Thomas and Lawson Luckie at the top of the touchdown leaderboard.
The man of the hour is middle linebacker C.J. Allen. A potential first-round pick, Allen leads the Bulldogs with 80 total tackles and 8.0 tackles for a loss. He also has 3.5 sacks, three pass deflections, and two forced fumbles in 11 games played.
Alabama Crimson Tide Analysis
After a Week 1 loss to Florida State, Alabama steadied the ship to win 10 of its last 11 games, only tripping up to Oklahoma (for the second year in a row). Alabama is making its 16th SEC Title Game appearance, posting an 11-4 record in the previous 15. Alabama is 9-0 in its last nine SEC Title Games, last losing in 2008.
His Heisman candidacy has dissipated, but Ty Simpson could be the first quarterback taken in the 2026 NFL Draft if he declares. Simpson has 24 total touchdowns to just four interceptions, leading the SEC in completions in his first season as a starter.
Alabama has struggled to run the ball for the most part. Of their three backs with the most rush attempts, none average over 4.0 yards per carry. In theory, the best of the bunch is Jamarion (Jam) Miller, but Miller has been spotty. He only has one SEC performance over 4.5 yards per carry: a 136-yard, 6.2-YPC romp versus Vanderbilt.
Germie Bernard has stepped up as the No.1 option in the Tide passing attack as sophomore Ryan Williams has not quite followed up an insane true freshman season. Bernard leads the Tide with 48 catches, 676 yards, and six touchdowns.
After a slow start, Yhonzae Pierre has been a major breakout in the second half of the season. He leads the SEC with three forced fumbles, and he leads the Crimson Tide with 10.5 tackles for a loss and 6.0 sacks.
Georgia vs Alabama Recent History
Alabama holds a 45-26-4 edge lifetime versus Georgia. Georgia only has one win in the last 11 games, but it happened to be a National Championship Game. Alabama is 4-0 against Georgia in SEC Championship Games.
Earlier in the season, Alabama delivered Georgia’s only loss of the season. Alabama led wire-to-wire with a three-touchdown performance from Ty Simpson. On the Georgia side, Gunner Stockton had a quiet day with 130 yards and one touchdown.
