History will be made Saturday night when two undefeated powerhouses collide for the Big Ten Championship. The 12-0 Hoosiers and 12-0 Buckeyes meet in Indianapolis, marking just the second time in FBS history that two undefeated teams have met in a conference championship game.

Indiana enters averaging 44.3 points per game with a plus-33.4 scoring margin that leads the nation. Ohio State counters with a defense that allows just 7.7 points per contest, the second-stingiest mark in college football.

By this late in the week, the spread and total markets are ultra-efficient, but there’s still value to be found in the college football player props. That’s where our focus is below for the best Indiana vs Ohio State player props heading into this Big Ten Championship Game.

Sayin’s 231.5-yard passing line sits well below his 255.4 season average, while the Buckeyes sport an implied team total of 25.8. Smith leads Ohio State receivers with a 73.5-yard prop and 5.5 reception line, while Bo Jackson tops the rushing board at 72.5 yards.

Indiana’s Mendoza checks in at 210.5 passing yards with a 20.5-yard rushing line that hints at his dual-threat usage. Roman Hemby leads Hoosiers rushers at 55.5 yards, while Sarratt (56.5 yards) and Cooper (54.5 yards) pace the receiving props.

Indiana vs Ohio State Prop #1: Jeremiah Smith Over 5.5 Receptions

Smith has been Sayin’s go-to target all season. The sophomore receiver averages 6.5 receptions per game and has cleared this 5.5 number in seven of 11 contests. His 91 targets on the year translate to 8.3 looks per game, giving him plenty of volume to hit the over.

Ohio State converts third downs at a 56.9% clip. Those sustained drives mean more plays and more targets, with Smith commanding the largest share of Sayin’s attention. The one-catch gap between Smith’s 5.5 line and Tate’s 4.5 line confirms the pecking order in this receiving corps.

Smith has recorded six-plus catches seven times this year. That includes 10 grabs against Purdue, nine versus Wisconsin, and nine more against Ohio. The only duds came against UCLA (four catches) and Michigan (three catches), with the Michigan game being a blowout where the Buckeyes barely needed to throw.

Smith’s reception prop has been steamed from -102 to -138 on the Over, a clear sign that oddsmakers expect the sophomore sensation to play a big role in the Big Ten Championship.

Indiana vs Ohio State Prop #2: Julian Sayin Over 231.5 Passing Yards

Sayin enters the championship averaging 255.4 passing yards per game, nearly 24 yards above this posted total. He’s cleared 231.5 yards in seven of 12 contests this season.

Sayin has proven he can deliver against quality opponents, too. The Heisman odds contender threw for 316 yards against Penn State, 326 yards versus Minnesota, and 233 yards in the most recent outing against Michigan’s defense. His 30-to-5 touchdown-to-interception ratio is elite decision-making.

Lucas Oil Stadium’s dome environment eliminates weather variables. No wind means Sayin can throw with full confidence in his timing, while receivers can run precise routes without adjustments.

If Indiana’s offense keeps pace early and makes this competitive, Ohio State will lean on Sayin’s arm to move the ball. The Buckeyes’ elite third-down conversion rate means sustained drives and more passing volume.

Indiana’s defense has been elite this season, but it has been vulnerable through the air lately. Four of their last six quarterbacks the Hoosiers have faced have tossed for 200-plus yards, including Purdue’s Ryan Browne (238 yds). None of these guys possess Sayin’s talent.

Switching to the touchdown props market, where Smith and Tate are the only minus-money anytime plays on the board. Ohio State converts in the red zone at a 90.3% clip, just behind Indiana’s 91.8% mark. Both offenses get into scoring position frequently and cash in when they arrive.

The Hoosiers spread the wealth across multiple weapons. Sarratt and Cooper each have 11 receiving touchdowns this season, making them the first Big Ten duo to each reach 11-plus receiving scores in the same season since Ohio State’s Chris Olave and Garrett Wilson in 2021.

Indiana vs Ohio State Prop #3: Fernando Mendoza Anytime TD Scorer (+320)

At +320, Mendoza offers serious value as a rushing touchdown threat. He’s scored on the ground in six games this season, half of Indiana’s contests, with rushing touchdowns against Purdue, Penn State, Maryland, UCLA, Old Dominion, and Indiana State.

The key is how Indiana uses him near the goal line. Mendoza isn’t just a scrambler. He’s a designed runner in short-yardage situations. That 7-yard rushing score against Purdue in the most recent game is a perfect example of how the Hoosiers deploy their dual-threat QB when they get inside the 10.

Indiana’s incredible red-zone scoring rate means they’re consistently getting down there. The Hoosiers average 6.2 red zone trips per game, and Mendoza has shown he’s willing to pull it down and run when the pocket collapses or the play design calls for it.

Ohio State will bring pressure all night. That’s when Mendoza’s mobility becomes most dangerous. He’s averaging 20.3 rushing yards per game on 64 carries, with six of those attempts finding paydirt. Against a Buckeyes defense that has generated 30 sacks this season, expect Mendoza to have plenty of scramble opportunities.

The 50% rushing touchdown rate in his games this season backs up the value at this price. You’re getting better than 3-to-1 on a QB who has proven he can score on the ground in big spots.
