Michigan (2-1 SU, 1-2 ATS) travels to Lincoln to meet Nebraska (3-0 SU, 2-1 ATS) in a Week 4 CFB clash that will have Big 10 fans on the edge of their seats this Saturday, September 20th.
Bryce Underwood and the Wolverines are slim 1.5-point favorites with most bettors piling onto Michigan early. You can catch this crucial Big 10 contest on Fox, with the Michigan vs Nebraska kickoff set for 3:30 pm ET.
Michigan vs Nebraska Prediction
This is a clash between two coaches aiming to lead storied programs back to relevance in the Big 10. While Sherrone Moore is suspended for this contest, the Wolverines need to continue to beat teams like Nebraska to show their might in the conference.
The Cornhuskers boast one of the nastiest defensive fronts in college football, and Matt Rhule has Nebraska playing with a confidence that hasn’t been seen in Lincoln in over a decade.
Having said that, Rhule is 0-6 SU against ranked teams in his time with Nebraska, and the Cornhuskers offense has struggled to score touchdowns in the redzone. In fact, ranked teams are 27-0 SU vs Nebraska since 2016. I like Bryce Underwood’s rushing ability to power Michigan to victory in Week 4.

Michigan Betting Trends
Michigan trounced Central Michigan 63-3 last week and will be riding high heading into this Big 10 conference showdown. The Wolverines racked up 450 yards of offense, with their rushing attack averaging over 6 yards per carry.
This game will come down to whether Michigan can keep Bryce Underwood clean and on schedule against an aggressive Nebraska front. The Wolverines spread RPO, quick game offense should help with that.
On the other side of the ball, the Michigan defense remains a brick wall, allowing just 14.7 points per game and 3.9 yards per play (12th in the nation). The Wolverines are also 4-1 ATS in their last five road games, and 8-2 SU in their last 10 conference games, with their only losses coming to against Ohio State and Penn State.
Nebraska Betting Trends
Sophomore quarterback Dylan Raiola has the Cornhuskers playing the type of offensive football not seen in Lincoln for decades. Nebraska demolished Akron and Houston Christian by a combined score of 127-7 over their last two games, and has put forth an average of 44 points, 540 yards and seven yards per play this season. But Rhule has the Cornhuskers playing complementary football, and despite his prowess as an offensive coach, Nebraska’s defense leads the way.
Nebraska’s defense is the real deal. The Cornhuskers rank in the top-10 in points, yards, and third-down conversions allowed per game. Albeit those numbers have come against the likes of Cincinnati, Akron, and Houston Christian. Whether or not they can continue to stifle top offenses remains to be seen.
Concerningly, Nebraska is just 1-5 SU in its last six games against Big 10 opponents. However, the Cornhuskers are 7-3 ATS in their last 10 Big 10 home games, showing how difficult it is to come into Memorial Stadium and control the game.
Michigan vs Nebraska Odds
