It is another Big Ten battle Saturday between a pair of familiar foes, featuring the #1 Ohio State Buckeyes (10-0, 8-1-1 ATS) taking on the unranked Rutgers Scarlet Knights (5-5, 5-5-5 ATS) in this Big Noon Kickoff matchup.
The books hold faith that the Buckeyes will cruise past the Scarlet Knights pretty handily for their 11th straight win. That would drop Rutgers back below .500. Ohio State is one of the biggest favorites in the College Football odds.
This Big Noon Kickoff is scheduled for noon ET from Ohio Stadium in Columbus, Ohio, with FOX providing the coverage.
Ohio State vs Rutgers Spread
Ohio State is a 31.5-point favorite on the spread for Saturday afternoon CFB, with an updated listed total of 54.5 points. The moneyline has Ohio State as a massive -2000 favorite, which is
For the best Big Noon Kickoff bets, expect Ohio State to cover the spread as they have won every matchup and are also 6-0-1 ATS at home in 2025.
In the National Championship odds, Ohio State remains the favorite at +175, while Rutgers is off the board. Bluntly, the Buckeyes are tuning up for that huge game next Saturday against Michigan.

My Ohio State vs Rutgers prediction has the Buckeyes covering the spread, something they have done easily at home against Rutgers, with 39, 22-, and 49-point triumphs in the past three meetings in Columbus.
The Buckeyes’ top-ranked rushing defense (in the Big Ten) should slow down Rutgers, who have very little passing attack. Ohio State held UCLA to 68 yards rushing while piling up 222 (season average is 161). Rutgers, in contrast, allows a conference-worst 196.5 yards per game.
WR Carnell Tate may miss a second straight game (calf), but it did not matter as Ohio State cruised past UCLA last week 48-10, racking up 440 yards of total offense. It was 27-0 Ohio State at halftime as the Buckeyes turned off the afterburners during the second half, yet still added 21 points.
In Rutgers’ only game against a Top 10 opponent this season, Oregon pounded them by 46 points. If their running game can’t get going and Ohio State starts fast, this could be an all too familiar blowout for the Buckeyes at the Horseshoe.

Ohio State vs Rutgers Alternate Line
The juice may be in the alternate spreads on Saturday afternoon if you believe in Ohio State winning by say 35+ points. With the line hovering between 31 and 31.5 points, going up several points is worth quite a bit.
We have some of the previous results below from these meetings. Note those home scores in particular. There are a few crooked ones in there.
Ohio State vs Rutgers Recent H2H History
This matchup has been all Ohio State over the last decade and change, with Ohio State winning all 10 meetings between the two schools. Going back a little further only gets worse for Rutgers. When it comes to playing in Columbus, it has been a true house of horrors.
