The No. 3 Georgia Bulldogs and No. 6 Ole Miss Rebels meet Thursday night in the Sugar Bowl for a College Football Playoff quarterfinal rematch. Both teams released updated injury reports Wednesday ahead of the 8 p.m. ET kickoff in New Orleans.
Georgia will be without five players, including starting center Drew Bobo and several key defensive contributors. Ole Miss star running back Kewan Lacy will play through a shoulder injury suffered in the first-round win over Tulane.
The final availability report will be released 90 minutes before kickoff Thursday evening.
This marks a rematch of their October meeting when Georgia rallied for a 43-35 win in Athens. The game airs on ESPN from the Caesars Superdome.

Ole Miss Injury Report
The Rebels will have their full offensive arsenal available for the rematch. Star running back Kewan Lacy is playing through a shoulder injury he suffered against Tulane in the first round.
Kewan Lacy Shoulder Injury
Lacy left the Tulane game twice with a shoulder injury and didn’t return after the second time in the third quarter. He’s been listed as probable on both injury reports this week and confirmed he’ll play.
“Yeah, it was just a little stinger in my AC joint,” Lacy said at Sugar Bowl media day.
The sophomore has been one of the nation’s top backs with 21 rushing touchdowns (Ole Miss single-season record) and 1,366 yards. He’s just 201 yards away from breaking Quinshon Judkins’ program record.
Lacy managed just 31 yards on 12 carries in the first meeting with Georgia, though he did score twice in the 43-35 loss.
Depth Losses for Ole Miss
The Rebels have three players ruled out. Cornerback Cedrick Beavers, offensive lineman John Wayne Oliver, and linebacker Raymond Collins are all unavailable. Tight end Caleb Odom is questionable.
Tight end Dae’Quan Wright is listed as probable. Wright is an NFL draft prospect and key piece of Ole Miss’ passing attack.
Ole Miss has no player opt-outs for the Sugar Bowl.
Georgia Injury Report
The Bulldogs have five players ruled out, including starting center Drew Bobo. Georgia’s defensive depth will be tested with multiple absences in the secondary and along the defensive line.
Drew Bobo Out for Sugar Bowl
Bobo will miss his second straight game with a foot injury. The starting center suffered a laceration to his right hand during Georgia’s win at Mississippi State, played through it against Texas, then injured his left foot against Georgia Tech.
Bobo was seen in a boot on his left foot during the SEC Championship Game. He’s not expected to return this season. Malachi Toliver got first-team snaps at center during pregame warmups for the SEC title game.
Georgia’s offense has struggled on the ground without Bobo anchoring the line. His absence is a major blow against an Ole Miss defense that will be aggressive up front.
Defensive Depth Tested
Georgia will be without significant defensive contributors. Outside linebacker Gabe Harris was seen in a boot when the Bulldogs arrived in New Orleans. He has 6.5 tackles for loss and one sack this season.
In the secondary, both Joenel Aguero and Kyron Jones are out. Aguero started Georgia’s first 12 games at STAR with 39 tackles and one interception. Jones started the first six games with 24 tackles before suffering a foot injury.
Defensive tackle Jordan Hall is out with a knee injury suffered against Florida. He started Georgia’s first eight games at nose tackle.
Colbie Young, Ethan Barbour Return
Georgia got two players back healthy. Wide receiver Colbie Young and tight end Ethan Barbour were both removed from the injury report Tuesday night.
Young injured his leg on a 36-yard flea-flicker reception in the first Georgia-Ole Miss game. He has 23 receptions for 336 yards and one touchdown this season. Barbour suffered an ankle injury against Austin Peay in Week 2.
Georgia has no significant player opt-outs for the Sugar Bowl.
The winner advances to face either Miami or Ohio State in the CFP semifinals. Kickoff is set for 8 p.m. ET Thursday from the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans.
