College Football Picks Today: Best Bets for Week 13 (Nov. 22)

• We’ve made it to another week, which means we’re blessed with another loaded College Football slate for Saturday, November 22
• This week, we need to focus on teams that will cover for us

We were so close to a sweep last week, we could taste it. And damn it, it tasted good. Sweeps always do. It didn’t happen, but lucky for us, it will this week.

What makes this week special is the fact that we’ve got not one, but two noon games to sweat out. There’s just something about getting a little two-on-one action that has always felt good. Ask anybody, they’ll tell you.

And if that wasn’t good enough, one of our squads is an underdog while one is a favorite. We’re talking yin/yang, up/down, Starsky/Hutch, all that shit. This could easily be the greatest day of our lives, and we’ll know by 3 pm ET. What a world. Feels right.

Week 13 College Football Pick #1 – Northwestern Will Roll Minnesota

What we need is a nice home favorite. One that we can all get behind. The one that sticks out the most to me is the Northwestern Wildcats. They’re playing at Wrigley Field, which is already a bonus in my eyes. Who doesn’t get a boost from Wrigley Field?

On top of that, look at these uniforms. How the hell do they not cover 3.5 points in those?

This thing will come down to more than just uniforms and baseball stadiums, though. For me, it’s the fact that Northwestern seems to play like it’s the Super Bowl every time they suit up at Wrigley. Hell, just last week, they almost knocked off Michigan had it not been for a last-second field goal. And they did it as double-digit dogs, which is even better.

Now they’ll host a Minnesota team that just doesn’t travel. Every single time they go on the road, not only do they lose, they get their asses kicked. We’re talking 42-13 to Oregon, 41-3 to Iowa, and 42-3 to Ohio State. Hell, they even lost by double digits when they went to Cal. I feel like this is one where we just kind of throw out the numbers and look at the human side of things. These Minnesota kids just don’t travel. Northwestern feels easy.

Week 13 College Football Pick #2 – Louisville Won’t Go Away

Now that we have a nice home favorite in our back pockets, we need an underdog. Like bad. One that we think could win the game outright. There’s really no better feeling than watching a game you have money on, where the team you bet is not only getting points but winning outright. It’s glorious.

The team, I think, that can give us this glorious feeling is Louisville. They seem ready for business.

Honestly, this is about Miller Moss more than anything else. I know the haters are going to say that he’s questionable to play in this thing, but whatever. He’s playing. This is kid is a winner, and there’s no chance he’s letting his guys go out there without him.

Remember how we just talked about Minnesota and its inability to win on the road? Well, Louisville is the exact opposite. They’ve been on the road three times this season, and they’ve won every game. We’re talking wins over Pittsburgh, Miami, and Virginia Tech here, too. They aren’t just beating cupcake squads. My guess is they take down SMU Saturday. If not, they’ll at least cover. Feels easy.
