The craziest part about Thanksgiving weekend is the fact that it just keeps going. Thursday feels like Saturday, so by the time Saturday actually gets here, we all get deja vu. It’s literally Saturday again, two days after it was Saturday. I’m not complaining, I’m just saying it’s a “thing”. What really makes it weird is all the football. We’re literally on our third slate, and it’s only Saturday. Again, not complaining, just saying.

But just like any other slate, we’ve got to bet our way through this thing. It’s the only way to truly show our appreciation for all of the football. Lucky for us, I’ve done thousands of mental simulations on the entire slate, and two games win every single time. That’s amazing when you think about it.

Week 14 College Football Pick #1 – North Carolina Can Play Anyone Close

When Bill Belichick announced he was coming to North Carolina, it was like Christmas down there. People were talking National Championships and everything. Then, when the Tar Heels didn’t immediately boat-race everyone, the haters came out. It’s a story as old as time. People need to be patient.

Fast forward to now, and Belichick and company are flipping recruits left and right. The dream might not be dead after all.

Still, we’re in this season, so we should focus on that for now. North Carolina sits at just 4-7 with a seemingly insurmountable amount of work to do. Sure, they could easily be 6-5 given what happened against Virginia and Cal, but they aren’t. Being a Tar Hell is a tough life.

The thing is, they have one more game on the schedule, and it is against North Carolina State. These teams hate each other, and the best way to take out frustrations is to beat someone you hate. That’s just science.

The Tar Heels have a top-25 run defense, so all they really have to do is force NC State quarterback CJ Bailey to beat them. He might be able to win outright, but I don’t think he can cover 7.5 points. Feels like a lock.

Week 14 College Football Pick #2 – Fresno State Feels Right

One thing we haven’t done recently is stay up late to sweat out an NCAA football bet. It hasn’t been on purpose; it just hasn’t happened. Well, that nonsense stops right now because we’ve got a 10:30 pm ET bet staring us right in the face. I’d be lying if I said it didn’t feel good.

The only problem is, the team we’re backing has a quarterback problem.

All reports are saying that E.J. Warner hasn’t been named the starter yet. He began the season as the starter, stunk up the place and then was replaced by Carson Conklin. Conklin wasn’t much better so the Bulldogs went back to Warner. It was a whole thing.

Normally, we’d never back a team that was right in the middle of a quarterback controversy, but here’s the deal. I don’t think it matters which guy starts. Fresno State will see a team in San Jose State that hasn’t been competitive in almost a month. We’re talking beatdown after beatdown here, people.

There’s no way the Spartans will hang with Fresno State tonight. Feels easy.
