Three. That’s the remaining number of full college football slates we have to bet this season. So, we have to make the most of them. In addition to my spread and total wagers for the week, I’ve got a number of college football player props wagers I’m targeting.

Below you’ll find my three best bets for Week 12, and a detailed breakdown of why each selection stands out.

College Football Week 12 Player Props – Best Bets (Nov. 15)

PropOdds (Sportsbook)
Marcel Reed (TXAM) Over 1.5 Passing TD-125 (at Fanatics)
Jeff Sims (ASU) Over 70.5 Rushing Yards-114 (at FanDuel)
Cameron Dickey (TTU) Over 95.5 Rushing Yards-114 (at FanDuel)

My college football player props card starts with over 1.5 touchdown passes for Texas A&M QB Marcel Reed. The Aggies are projecting for nearly 5 touchdowns versus South Carolina, and Reed is going to account for his fair share.

I’m also betting over 70.5 rushing yards for Arizona State QB Jeff Sims, and over 95.5 rushing yards for Texas Tech’s Cameron Dickey, who’s been a major workhorse over the last few weeks.

Week 12 College Football Player Prop: Marcel Reed Passing TD

Don’t look now, but Reed is a top-four Heisman Trophy odds contender. His Aggies have a real shot of finishing with an undefeated record, and a couple more ceiling performances could elevate him to a player of the year finalist.

Reed has been electric both through the air and on the ground this season, and the matchup versus the Gamecocks is one he can exploit. South Carolina is 98th in opponent 3rd down conversion rate, and 86th in opponent red zone scoring rate.

What does that mean for Reed? Well, he should have no issue sustaining drives, and when he gets in close, he won’t face too much resistance.

Reed has already thrown 19 TD passes this season, and has registered 2 or more passing touchdowns in seven of nine starts. Look for that trend to continue in a comfortable A&M win.

Week 12 College Football Player Prop: Jeff Sims Rushing Yards

Moving on to Sims, who’s rushed the ball as well as anyone when he’s filled in for Sam Leavitt. In two starts, he’s racked up 50 carries for 284 yards. He’ll be behind center again on Saturday and will be looking to replicate his production from the latest Sun Devils victory over Iowa State.

In that contest, Sims ran the ball 28 times for an astounding 228 yards. At 6-3, Arizona State is technically still alive for the Big 12 title game, and they realize their best path for success versus West Virginia is to keep the ball in Sims’ hands.

The Mountaineers enter the game allowing 151.5 rushing yards per game, and have been torched by other dual-threat QB’s like Jalon Daniels and Bear Bachmeier already this year, neither of whom have the same sort of rushing upside as Sims.

Week 12 College Football Player Prop: Cameron Dickey Rushing Yards

Sticking with rushing props, Dickey projects for another massive workload versus UCF as a huge home favorite. The sophomore back has seen 44 carries in his last two games alone, and has four 20+ rush attempt games in his last six starts.

Texas Tech is among the top-eight contenders in the CFP odds, and will have no problem opening up holes for Dickey. UCF is yielding an average of 153.4 rushing yards per game, and have allowed 30 points in back-to-back outings to Houston and Baylor.

The Cougars and Bears averaged 175 rushing yards per game versus the Knights, and the Red Raiders are poised to put up even more, led by Dickey.
