My betting card starts with under 175.5 passing yards for Auburn QB Jackson Arnold. The junior faces a nightmare matchup against National Championship odds contender Oklahoma, and his best path to success is not through the air, but rather on the ground.

I’m also betting on the insane volume of Arizona State star receiver Jordyn Tyson, as his 95.5 yard receiving prop is simply too low given the state of the Baylor defense he’ll go up against.

Week 4 College Football Player Prop: Jackson Arnold Passing Yards

The Tigers will want to run the ball at all costs as 7-point underdogs against the Sooners to keep John Mateer and the Oklahoma offense off the field. Auburn is already one of the most run heavy offenses in the league, ranking 23rd in rushing rate, and they’ll try to lean on the legs of Arnold and his stable of running backs.

Arnold enters the game averaging just 24 pass attempts per contest, and has completed 13 passes or less in two of three games so far. He averages only 7.3 yards per attempt, and will be facing a defense that is very familiar with him.

Oklahoma Sooners Pass Defense Stats

StatTotal (Rank)
Pass Yds Allowed / Game110.0 (5th)
Yards Allowed / Pass4.3 (3rd)
Opp Completion %45.1% (2nd)

The Junior spent his freshman and sophomore years at OU, attempting 246 passes for the Sooners last season. Oklahoma enters play as one of the top defenses in the nation, and have been suffocating against the pass.

OU is yielding a minuscule 45% completion rate and just 4.3 yards per throw. Enemy QB’s are averaging 110 passing yards per game against them, and are being sacked on 9% of their drop backs.

  • Best Bet #1: Jackson Arnold Under 175.5 Passing Yards (-114 at BetMGM)

Week 4 College Football Player Prop: Jordyn Tyson Receiving Yards

On to Tyson, who’s putting up numbers worthy of Heisman Trophy odds consideration. He’s averaging over 100 receiving yards and a touchdown per game, and has a total stranglehold over the Sun Devils target share.

Tyson is drawing over 42% of Arizona State’s targets thus far, and there’s reason to believe he’s actually underperforming expectations. Sun Devils QB Sam Leavitt has been wildly inaccurate, completing only 58% of his passes. If Leavitt can climb back to his career baseline completion percentage, Tyson’s 66.6% catch rate will skyrocket, boosting his ceiling.

Despite the errand throws, Tyson has cleared 100+ yards in two of three games so far, and I’m betting he’ll do it again versus a Baylor team in one of the highest total games on Saturday’s slate. The Bears enter play banged up in the secondary and are yielding the 10th-highest yards per attempt to opposing quarterbacks this season.

  • Best Bet #2: Jordyn Tyson Over 95.5 Receiving Yards (-114 at BetMGM)
