Week 12 brings four massive ranked matchups with playoff implications across the board. The betting value today is exceptional, with sharp money already moving several key lines.

Alabama’s laying just 6 points against Oklahoma, and the Tide’s home dominance makes this spread look short. Georgia gets Texas at the perfect time, catching the Longhorns on the road where they’ve been vulnerable all season.

We’ve also got Pittsburgh getting 12.5 points at home against Notre Dame, which feels like way too many for a red-hot Panthers team. CFB ATS Picks #1: Pittsburgh +12.5 vs Notre Dame

The Panthers have been a completely different team since Mason Heintschel took over at quarterback. They’re 5-0 straight up and ATS with the freshman under center, averaging 40 points during this stretch. Now they’re catching nearly two touchdowns at home against a Notre Dame team that hasn’t blown anyone out.

Pittsburgh allows 124.2 rushing yards per game while Notre Dame averages 196.1 on the ground. The Irish have been fantastic offensively, averaging 38.7 points, and boast the second-best yards per play average at 7.31. But the Panthers are 7-2 ATS overall this season.

Heintschel is completing 64% of his passes for roughly 300 yards per start. Against Florida State, he overcame a 21-14 deficit to win 48-7, throwing for 323 yards and four touchdowns. He’s thrown five picks in five starts, but he’s also shown the ability to make big plays when the pocket breaks down.

CFB ATS Picks #2: Georgia -6 vs Texas

The Bulldogs have trailed in six of seven SEC games this season and won five of them. They’ve been a second-half juggernaut, outscoring opponents 72-59 after halftime while shutting out multiple teams, including Alabama and Auburn. Kirby Smart’s halftime adjustments have been legendary.

Texas can’t win on the road. Both losses came away from Austin, and they needed overtime to survive at Kentucky and Mississippi State. The Longhorns have scored just 38 points in the first three quarters of their four true road games combined.

Arch Manning has shown flashes, racking up 674 yards and six touchdowns over the last two games, but he’s still completing just 63% of his passes with five interceptions this season. Texas ranks 93rd in offensive success rate and 109th in percentage of plays gaining zero or negative yards.

Gunner Stockton went 12-for-12 in the second half against Ole Miss for 135 yards and three touchdowns. Against Tennessee in overtime, Georgia ran three times for 25 yards to seal the win. Steve Sarkisian is now 1-5 against top-six opponents at Texas.

CFB ATS Picks #3: Alabama -6 vs Oklahoma

Alabama’s riding the nation’s longest home winning streak at 17 games. They haven’t lost an SEC home game since November 2019 and haven’t dropped a game at Bryant-Denny to an unranked opponent since 2007, winning 87 straight.

John Mateer hasn’t been the same since hand surgery. Pre-surgery, he averaged 303.8 passing yards with a 2:1 TD-to-INT ratio. Post-surgery? Just 183.5 yards per game with two touchdowns and four picks. Against Mississippi, he completed only 17-of-31 for 223 yards.

The Tide held LSU to 344 total yards in last week’s 20-9 win. They rank 13th nationally in scoring defense at 17.2 points allowed. Ty Simpson’s been efficient with 1,323 yards, 11 touchdowns, and just one interception over his last five games.

Oklahoma’s defense ranks eighth nationally at 14.1 points per game, but their offense can’t keep pace. The Sooners are averaging just 28.9 points, and that number’s inflated by early-season games. Alabama is 4-0 in regular-season revenge games since 2023.

CFB ATS Picks #4: Iowa +6.5 at USC

USC allows 141.7 rushing yards per game, ranking 60th nationally. Notre Dame gashed them for 306 yards. Nebraska ran for 188. Now they face Mark Gronowski, who’s scored a touchdown in all nine games this season.

Gronowski’s got 12 rushing touchdowns, seventh nationally and an Iowa single-season record. He led a 12-play, 93-yard touchdown drive against Oregon that ate nearly seven minutes, punching it in himself on fourth-and-goal. The 235-pound quarterback is built for this matchup.

Rain’s forecast for Southern California this weekend with heavy precipitation expected in the second half. That plays right into Iowa’s grind-it-out style. The Hawkeyes rank sixth nationally in scoring defense at 13.7 points per game.

Iowa hasn’t lost consecutive regular-season games since October 2022, going 9-0 straight up in that spot. The Hawkeyes are 6-2-1 ATS this season and 5-0 ATS in their last five games following a straight-up loss.
