2016 Emmy Odds – Who Wins the Winged Woman?

The 2016 Primetime Emmys will come our way from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, California, on September 18. The nominees are in, and now television networks will spend the next couple months battling it out, trying to to push their shows over the top.

There aren’t a lot of surprises in this year’s nominations, but of course there are some snubs that some people may have a problem with. For instance, where’s Orange is the New Black? I guess women in prison get no love.

You don’t have to be a Red Witch to see into the the future and know that Game of Thrones is poised to win a ton of hardware this year. Could Mr. Robot or House of Cards pull an upset and take the Iron Throne for Outstanding Drama Series?

There is no Mad Men this year, so that opens up the Lead Actor in a Drama category to someone not named Jon Hamm. Do you think Frank Underwood is making deals in the background to get his good buddy Kevin Spacey another Emmy for House of Cards?

Not to toot my own horn, but like Tyrion Lannister, “I drink and I know things.” And I don’t expect to see too many surprises at this year’s show. It’s clear who the frontrunners are. Below are the odds on who will take home the winged woman in all the major categories. The odds are subject to change as we get closer to the back-patting schmooze fest because, honestly, there will be entire campaigns from some networks for some shows.
