Although Ronda Rousey achieved superstar status years ago through her long list of accolades in UFC, there was no telling how smooth her transition into the WWE world would be. Sure enough, she has exceeded all expectations since bursting onto the scene at the onset of 2018.

It didn’t take long for Rousey to get accustomed to the WWE style starting with her debut at the Royal Rumble, where she made headlines simply by pointing to the WrestleMania 34 sign hanging high above the arena. She then competed in her first WWE match at the event alongside Kurt Angle against Triple H and Stephanie McMahon in what was one of the best bouts of the night.

Her historic victory on the grandest stage of them all paved the way for her to challenge Nia Jax for the Raw Women’s Championship at Money in the Bank in June. Despite reservations from fans that she was not yet worthy of a shot at the strap, she once again impressed the masses with her breakout performance and came close to clinching the championship before Alexa Bliss crashed the contest.

Her subsequent “suspension” from WWE TV made her an even bigger deal, and once she resurfaced, she made her Raw in-ring debut by defeating Alicia Fox and went on to beat Bliss in decisive fashion for the Raw Women’s title at SummerSlam.

Needless to say, Rousey’s reign as Raw Women’s champion has only just begun and should be a lengthy one. There isn’t anyone on the Raw roster who stands out as an obvious candidate to take the title from her at any point in the near future, which makes it likely that she’ll have a stranglehold on the strap through WrestleMania 35 next April.

Rousey’s reign as Raw Women’s champion has only just begun and should be a lengthy one.

Rumors have been running rampant for months that Rousey could face Charlotte Flair come the Show of Shows in the spring. If that dream match ultimately comes to fruition, fans can expect a championship to be up for grabs, but whether Rousey will leave with her title intact is unknown.

Will Ronda Rousey Be a Woman’s Champion at WWE WrestleMania 35?

Potential WrestleMania 35 Outcomes Odds
Yes – By End of WrestleMania 35 -130
No – By End of WrestleMania 35 +100

According to sportsbooks, Rousey is currently favored to end WrestleMania 35 as a champion. This is a safe bet considering she has already run through a handful of wrestlers on the Raw roster and has barely scratched the surface of what she’s capable of accomplishing in WWE.

Similar to Asuka, Rousey must remain unbeaten one-on-one for as long as possible, hence why she should successfully knock off Flair (or whoever she winds up facing) at WrestleMania 35. From there, she can continue carving out her legacy as one of the most dominant women’s champions in WWE history.
