- John Daly was denied the use of a cart for next week’s Open Championship
- You can wager whether he’ll be using a cart his next PGA tournament
- Is it worth betting that the enigmatic Daly will play with a cart?
Poor John Daly, it just seems like he can’t catch a break. Or at least once he catches one (he was granted his wish to use a cart at the PGA Championship in May), then things go pear shaped and he’s denied a request by the Royal & Ancient to use a cart at the Open Championship.
There is an interesting prop bet on whether or not Daly will use a cart in his next sanctioned PGA event, which definitely seems like free money!

If Daly plays, He’s Using a Cart
Not only is Daly not competing in the Open Championship, but he also suffered, from the sounds of it, a pretty serious spider bite which hampers his ability to compete.
My life chapter 84k: Craziest event! Was in England last wk & incurred a spider bite, not really knowing (cont) https://t.co/f0eBAhpuvP

However, that is not stopping him from teeing it up at this week’s PGA Tour Champions event, the Bridgestone Senior Players. The language on the wager is “Will John Daly be on a cart for his next PGA Sanctioned event?” Either he’ll play through the pain and compete with a cart on the Champions Tour, but if the language on that bet (which is unclear), only pertains to regular PGA Tour events, he’s got that covered too.

Basically the only thing keeping this from a 100% guarantee that he will use a cart in his next PGA event is whether he competes in a tour event at all, because he’s been granted the use of a cart everywhere else.
One Very Important Caveat
If this is an absolute slam dunk bet, why not be a hero and back up the Brinks truck and place a massive wager on yes? Believe me, I just signed up in hopes of doing just that, but there’s one major stipulation to this bet – you can only bet up to $50 on it (to win a total of $75.)
While this bet seems too good to be true, it pretty well is, since you won’t be making mega bank. You will, however, almost assuredly make a little bit of cash for your efforts.
Pick: Yes (-200)
