Ben Griffin entered the World Wide Technology Championship as the clear favorite to win the trophy, and he walked out of Mexico with his third career PGA Tour title. Griffin shot a blistering 9-under, 63 to win by a couple strokes over Chad Ramey and Sami Valimaki, but isn’t in the field this week.

There’s been six tournaments contested in Bermuda, with the first two being won by Americans at Port Royal Golf Course. Since then, however, four straight International players have claimed the crown at a tourney that yields very low scores.

I’m starting my card this week with a golfer that’s long been tortured at not getting over the finish line on the PGA Tour – Patrick Rodgers. Perhaps he can grab inspiration from the likes of Cameron Young and Tommy Fleetwood late in the summer, who finally posted their first triumphs on the biggest stage.

Rodgers left Stanford University a highly decorated golfer, with his eleven victories to match Tiger Woods. He’s had several brushes with a PGA Tour trophy, finishing runner-up four times and third a quartet of instances. He’s coming in strong, with a tie for sixth in Mexico, but he’s also fantastic at this track – the last three years, Rodgers has gone 4th, T-3rd, T-9th in Bermuda, so maybe he’ll finally get the monkey off his back.

At +3000, you can snag Rodgers with longer odds than the top-seven golfers on the board, so it’s not like you’re breaking the bank with super low odds in his quest to get his title.

Butterfield Bermuda Championship 2025 Picks & Value Bets

  1. Matt Kuchar +3500: The veteran Matt Kuchar certainly isn’t in his prime anymore, though he’ll occasionally still pop up on the first page now and again, and he could very well do it against a weak field. Kuchar was T-11th at the World Wide Technology Championship Sunday, his fourth top-20 in his last five starts. In the last 24 rounds, the nine-time champion is seventh in putting and tenth in total strokes gained.
  2. Carson Young +5500: I’m going back to the Carson Young well, where I got him at double these odds (+11000) to win in Mexico. He was directly in the mix in the final round, tied for the lead on the back nine before settling for a tie for sixth. Young made the most birdies of the tournament (33), and was tied for first in putts per green in regulation (1.51).
  3. Greyson Sigg +6000: This fall, Greyson Sigg has quietly gone about his business, and it’s produced some solid, if unspectacular results. In his last four tourneys, Sigg has gone T-19th, T-21st, T-15th, T-46th. He’s also had some decent finishes in Bermuda too, ranking sixth in total strokes gained the last twelve rounds, with T-22nd, T-11th and T-9th events the last three seasons here.
  4. Ben Silverman +9000: Ben Silverman has put together a couple of impressive showings, chasing a tie for third at the Bank of Utah Championship with a top-25 in Mexico. While he doesn’t have a PGA Tour victory to his credit, he’s been popping up on leaderboards in the Fall Series events, and he’ll be interesting to monitor in the top 10/20 markets.
