  • Doosan has dropped three straight, scoring just 11 runs over that span
  • Lotte is 8-2 in its last 10 games

Tuesday’s KBO slate was dominated by overs thanks to plenty of late-game heroics. Surprisingly, the only contest that went under the total was Samsung and Doosan, who combined for just seven runs.

Don’t expect another low-scoring game between those two when action gets underway Wednesday at 5:30 am ET, as the Bears offense is in a favorable position to get back on track.

Odds as of June 16th.

Bears Bounce Back

Doosan scored just three runs Tuesday and have crossed the plate only 11 times in its past three outings. They’ve lost three straight (including two to Hanwha) and have been overtaken for second place by LG.

Wednesday’s matchup however, offers a great chance to bounce back. They’ll square off against Lions’ starter Dae Woo Kim, who hasn’t made it past the 5th inning in any start this season. He’s already faced the Bears once in 2020 and that outing resulted in a 10-6 Doosan victory.

Despite the three-game skid, the Bears still rank second in average, runs and hits, and have scored double-digit runs twice already versus Samsung this season.

Also working in Doosan’s favor is the fact that Chris Flexen will be on the mound. The 25-year-old is undefeated in six starts this season and has yet to allow more than three runs to any opponent.

Pick: Over 9.0 (-125), Doosan Bears -1.5 (-130)

A Lotte of Reasons to Back the Giants

The hottest team in the KBO at the moment is sixth-place Lotte. The Giants are fresh off a 7-5 victory over Kiwoom on Tuesday and have gone 8-2 over their last 10 outings.

On Wednesday, they’ll send Jun Won Seo to the hill, fresh off five shutout innings in his last start. The 19-year-old has already silenced the Heroes once this season, holding them to no runs and just three hits on May 24th.

Kiwoom, meanwhile, has dropped four of six and will turn to Won Tae Choi to try to right the ship. The right-hander was rocked for six runs last time out and will be in tough against a Giants offense that has scored 52 times in their last seven outings.

Pick: Lotte Giants +1.5 (-115)

Dinos Deliver vs Tigers

The NC Dinos are in their worst stretch of the season, having dropped four of their last six games. On Wednesday, they’ll aim to rebound against the KIA Tigers, who will start the weakest arm in their rotation.

Min Woo Lee was lit up for 11 runs last time out versus KT Wiz in just 3.1 innings of work. Prior to that, he surrendered five runs to Doosan in another defeat. The Tigers have dropped three of his last four starts and he’s currently sporting an ugly 5.08 ERA.

The Dinos will counter with righty Mike Wright, who’s given up just two runs in his last 11 innings. NC has won six of his seven outings this season, and he’s limited opponents to two or fewer runs in 71% of his starts.

Pick: NC Dinos -1.5 (-140)
