Another week of KBO action wraps up Sunday at 1am ET, and redemption has to be on the mind of Odrisamer Despaigne. The KT Wiz hurler was in the midst of a sensational start to the season, but the wheels fell off in his last outing. Despaigne was tagged for 15 hits and 10 runs by defending champion Doosan, ending a streak of three straight starts where he allowed a single run or less.

The 33-year-old will be looking to bounce back in a big way Sunday, when he faces the light-hitting Lotte Giants.

Odds as of June 6th.

A Giant Mismatch

Lotte’s won the first two games of the series, but they’ve scored just seven runs in the process. On Saturday, they mustered just five hits, and didn’t score the game’s first run until the bottom of the 9th. They’ve crossed the plate two times or fewer in eight of 12 games, and failed to generate much offense versus Despaigne when they faced him back in May.

The former San Diego Padre stuck out eight over six innings, and allowed just a single run. He’s held his opponents scoreless in half of his starts this season and his 30-5 strikeout-to-walk rate is among the best in the league.

Lotte will counter with Se Woong Park, who’s been lit up in three straight starts. He’s given up 13 runs in his last 14.1 innings and didn’t get out of the fifth inning in his first outing versus KT Wiz this season.

Pick: KT Wiz Suwon -1.5 (-145)

Samsung and SK Will Struggle to Score

The Samsung bats have gone quiet over the last three games, and life won’t get any easier in their series finale with SK. The Lions have posted just five runs during their current three-game losing streak, and have managed just 14 hits in two games versus the Wyverns.

On Sunday, they’ll square off against Seung Won Moon, who’s fresh off shutting down the best team in the league. Moon held the NC Dinos to one run over six innings in an 8-2 victory on Tuesday.

Samsung will send David Buchanan to the mound, who’s been brilliant in back-to-back outings. Like Moon, he shut down the Dinos in his last start. Prior to that, he held second-place Doosan scoreless through seven innings. He’s given up just one run in his last 14 innings overall and should be able to keep the SK offense in check.

Pick: Under 9.5 (-115)

Twins Snap the Heroes Streak

No team in the KBO is hotter than Kiwoom at the moment, but LG is in a good position to snap the Heroes’ five-game winning streak on Sunday. That’s because Hyun Hee Han will take the ball against the Twins and he’s been underwhelming in 2020, outside of two starts against bottom-feeders Hanwha.

The 26-year-old has given up at least five runs in two of his last three outings, and lasted just five innings in his first start versus LG this season.

The Twins have had a disappointing week, losing five of six, but are capable of exploding offensively at any moment. They hung 11 runs on Samsung three games ago, and put up 13 versus Kia last Sunday.

Pick: LG Twins moneyline (+110)
