The Detroit Tigers (89-76, 46-35 home, 42-42 away) survived a Game 3 thriller against Cleveland on Thursday afternoon and will now move onto face the Seattle Mariners (90-72, 51-30 home, 39-42 away) in a best-of-five American League Division Series. Seattle got the better of Detroit in the regular season and, with home-field advantage in Games 1, 2, and 5, have opened as favorites in the Mariners vs Tigers series odds.
Tigers vs Mariners Odds to Win ALDS
The Mariners vs Tigers series price has opened with Seattle at -172 and Detroit at +146, giving the Mariners a 63.24% implied win probability, compared to just 40.65% for the Tigers.

Seattle is currently the +513 third-favorite in the World Series odds and the top team from the American League. Detroit’s odds improved from +1950, on average, to +800 at DraftKings after their Game 3 victory over the Guardians.
SEA Mariners vs DET Tigers ALDS Schedule
The series will begin on Saturday, October 4th, in Seattle (start time for all games of the series are still TBD). Game 2 will go the next day before an off-day ahead of Game 3 on Tuesday in Detroit. If a Game 4 is necessary, it will take place on Wednesday, October 8th. If a Game 5 is necessary, the teams will once again get an off-day for travel ahead of the series finale on Friday, October 10th.
The Mariners were an exceptional 51-30 at home this season but just 39-42 in away games.
The Tigers went 46-35 at home and 41-40 on the road in the regular season before taking two of three on the road in Cleveland in the AL Wild Card.

The Mariners haven’t reached the ALCS since their record-setting 116-win season in 2001, which they lost 4-1 to the Yankees. They have only reached the playoffs once since then, in 2023, beating the Blue Jays 2-0 in the Wild Card before getting swept 3-0 by the Astros in the ALDS.
Detroit’s last ALCS appearance was in 2013, falling 4-2 to the Red Sox. They have lost their last two ALDS appearances: 3-2 to the Guardians last year, and 3-0 to the Orioles in 2014.
