Mets Improve in 2026 World Series Odds
The Mets, who were +1500 to win their first title since 1986, improved to +1400 after signing Bichette.
Bichette finished second in the AL in hits (181) last season, three behind leader Bobby Witt Jr despite playing 18 fewer games . He was also second in batting average (.311) to Aaron Judge (.331), second in doubles (44) to Witt (47), and led the Jays in RBI with 94. Bichette is a career .294 hitter with a .806 OPS over seven seasons with the Jays.
Blue Jays’ World Series Odds Fade After Losing Bichette
The Toronto Blue Jays, who were an inning away from winning the 2025 World Series, saw their own World Series odds fade marginally from +1200 to +1400, level with the Mets, Mariners, and Phillies for the third-best odds in the MLB.
The Jays have made a concerted effort to improve both the starting staff and bullpen in the offseason. They landed coveted starter Dylan Cease on a seven-year deal, plus submariner Tyler Rogers, who posted an elite 1.98 ERA and 0.94 WHIP across 77.1 innings last year with the Giants and Mets.
