  • Keep reading for my MLB picks and predictions to win all six divisions

It’s hard to believe, but Opening Day is right around the corner with the 2026 MLB season officially getting underway on Wednesday. MLB futures have been posted for months, and it’s time to make our favorite wagers before the first pitch is thrown.

Below, you’ll find my MLB picks and predictions to win all six divisions, plus the reasoning behind each selection.

MLB Division-Winner Picks (2026)

PickOdds (Sportsbook)
Blue Jays to Win AL East+310 (FanDuel)
Tigers to Win AL Central+115 (FanDuel)
Mariners to Win AL West+100 (bet365)
Phillies to Win NL East+175 (DraftKings)
Brewers to Win NL Central+235 (DraftKings)
Dodgers to Win NL West-650 (bet365)

My favorite wager in the MLB division odds is the Blue Jays to win the AL East. Last year’s AL Champs are significantly undervalued in the market, as the Yankees are getting all the headlines, despite having major holes in their roster.

I’m also targeting the Tigers, Mariners, Phillies, Brewers, and Dodgers to win their respective divisions, as the teams around Seattle, Philly, Milwaukee and LAD didn’t do enough to dethrone last year’s winner.

MLB Division Predictions #1: Blue Jays to Win AL East

Toronto currently boasts the third shortest odds in the AL East, despite making big upgrades to their team. Their acquisition of Dylan Cease to shore up their rotation is considered one of the most impactful moves in free agency, while they pivoted quickly from Bo Bichette’s departure to land Japanaese slugger Kazuma Okamoto.

This was already one of the best teams in baseball before their offseason acquisitions and ownership will be aggressive at the deadline recognizing their window to win is now. The Yankees meanwhile, will start the season without ace Gerritt Cole and still need to figure out how to get production from an underwhelming left side of the infield.

MLB Division Predictions #2: Tigers to Win AL Central

The AL Central is the Tigers to lose, especially now that they’ve added another contender in the Cy Young odds: Framber Valdez. The former Astros ace will join Tarik Skubal to form arguably the best 1-2 starting punch in baseball, giving enemy hitters little chance for success in 40% of Detroit’s games.

KC will likely be the Tigers top competition, but their lineup is a bit too top heavy, while their starting rotation lacks the depth to be a true contender.

MLB Division Predictions #3: Mariners to Win AL West

Seattle is my favorite bet in the World Series odds and a no brainer selection to win the AL West. Houston is a major regression candidate, while LA, Oakland and Texas don’t have the rosters to seriously contend in 2026.

The Mariners are loaded with stars like Cal Raleigh and Julio Rodriguez, while they were active in free agency retaining their most important additions from last year’s trade deadline. They shored up the bullpen and their starting rotation should be healthy, creating major upside for a staff that ranked third in xFIP in 2025.

MLB Division Predictions #4: Phillies to Win NL East

There’s something to say about continuity, and the two-time defending NL East champion Phillies have plenty of it. They’ll return the core and starting rotation from last year’s 96 win team, and I’m not ready to buy the Mets instead just because they over spent again in free agency.

Philadelphia’s rotation led MLB last season in WAR, xERA and xFIP, while the lineup boasts a handful of 30+ home run talent. Their projection in the MLB win totals is now down 89.5 after opening two victories higher, and I’ll betting them to exceed that total in addition to winning the division.

MLB Division Predictions #5: Brewers to Win NL Central

I get why people are fading Milwaukee after they unloaded some top end talent in the offseason. However, this isn’t the first time they’ve done that and when the dust settles they always seem to find themselves in contention to win the NL Central.

The division is arguably the weakest in baseball, and I’ll gladly take them at +235 to silence the doubters. They still have elite arms in the rotation led by Jacob Misiorowski, while center fielder Jackson Chourio is on the cusp of becoming a superstar.

MLB Division Predictions #6: Dodgers to Win NL West

Led by Shohei Ohtani, the favorite in the NL MVP odds, LA is chasing a third straight World Series ring this season. I, for one, won’t be betting against them, as baseball’s best roster got even stronger in the offseason with the addition of slugger Kyle Tucker and All-Star reliever Edwin Diaz.

The latter will shore up the bullpen, which was the Dodgers only weakness in 2025. Just once in the last 13 years has LA not won the NL West, while their current win total is 17 victories higher than the next closest team in their division.
