Dodgers vs Braves Player Prop #1 – Shohei Ohtani Over 2.5 Hits + Runs +RBI

I don’t know if you’ve heard of Shohei Ohtani, but he’s pretty good. In fact, he’s so good that I’ve even lifted my ban on taking anyone over 2.5 hits + runs + RBI. The whole reason I like the hits + runs + RBI market because we can easily get what we need in one at-bat. So obviously we prefer the over 1.5 line over the 2.5 variety.

But, when we have a guy smashing the pitch mix Ohtani will see tonight, we can make an exception and go up and get some.

The thing is, this isn’t just about Ohtani and the fact that every ball he hits right now goes off the bat at 100+ mph. No, this is about Bryce Elder, too. The man has already given up six home runs in just 27 innings of work this season. That is alarming. In fact, on this exact day last season (5-4-2024), Ohtani hit a ball that still hasn’t landed yet off of Elder. I think he leads off he game with another moonshot. Feels right.

Dodgers vs Braves Player Prop #2 – Mookie Betts Over 2.5 Hits + Runs +RBI

Do you know what’s fun even if you’re not a Dodgers fan? Mookie Betts is hitting the ball hard. I think it’s because he hits directly behind Ohtani, so it’s a borderline “Bash Brothers” situation,n but who really knows? All I know is, it’s fun as a dinger bettor to have a Murders Row type of lineup, and that’s what the Dodgers have.

Just look at what Mookie does to the pitch mix he’ll see tonight.

I get that the numbers really aren’t that impressive, but Mookie stunk to begin the season. The thing is, Mookie is back. Since the 30th, he’s got five 100+ mph hits. One of those balls cleared a fence, too. As it relates to Bryce Elder, he gets hit pretty hard by right-handers. I’m thinking right after Ohtani puts one into orbit in the first inning, Mookie will make it rain on someone in the leftfield stands. Seems inevitable.
