- Atlanta has won eight of the last 10 games when facing San Francisco
During what’s been a magical season for the San Francisco Giants (83-44, 41-25), they’ve bulldozed through the rest of the National League. The Atlanta Braves (68-58, 31-31) are the next obstacle to stand in front of them.
Even though the Giants won their most recent meeting with the Braves, Atlanta has won eight of 10 from San Francisco. On the other hand, the two teams have split the last 10 games in Atlanta right down the middle 5-5.
Despite owning a mediocre 31-31 home record, oddsmakers have established the Braves as -125 home favorites for the opener of this three-game series. The Giants are 23-12 as a road underdog this season.

Giants vs Braves Pick
The Giants have won five in a row. Their MLB-best 83-44 record also matches the club’s best record through 127 games since moving to San Francisco in 1958. San Francisco is an MLB-best 77-49 against the spread this season.

Gausman is returning to the rotation from a stint on the COVID-19 injured list, so he might not be showing his best stuff. San Francisco is also without first baseman Brandon Belt, placed on the bereavement list to attend memorial services for his grandmother. Second baseman Donovan Solano is also out after testing positive for COVID-19 on Thursday.
The even hotter New York Yankees put an end to Atlanta’s nine-game winning streak by taking the last two games from the Braves. Atlanta won five of seven from San Francisco when the two teams last faced each other in 2019.
Pick: Atlanta Braves (-125)
