  • We’ve got a full MLB slate to attack on Wednesday, July 30
  • There is no way for the books to avoid our dinger wrath on a day like today
  • See below for my +1475 home run parlay today

Can I be honest with you guys? I’m 100% sure we’re cashing today. Why? Because 42 home runs were hit across MLB yesterday. That’s not a record or anything, but it is a lot when you think about the fact that we only need to find two guys today. That’s it, just two. We don’t need to name all 40+ guys that are going deep today. We only need two of them. Lucky for us, I’ve already been through every game on the slate. I’ve considered whether, ballpark, pitches. Everything. And after considering every possible thing that could possibly happen, I’ve found two guys who are 100% going deep tonight. Simply put, this could be the greatest day of our lives. Maybe better.

Please remember if you’re going to play these two bets, play both legs straight for a 1/4 unit as well as a 1/2 unit two-leg parlay. That way, you’re only risking one unit, and you’ll profit or come close with just one player going yard.

Altogether, both legs of today’s home run parlay generate +1475 odds at FanDuel, meaning a $100 bet would profit $1,475 if both legs hit.

HR Parlay Leg #1 – Giancarlo Stanton to Hit a Home Run

We need to find a guy at Yankee Stadium tonight. It’s supposed to be in the 90s with the wind blowing out. That park is already hitter-friendly, and now we have great hitting weather to go with it. Everything is coming up “us” today.

To top it off, we’ve got Giancarlo Stanton at this park, in this weather, facing a pitch mix he absolutely destroys.

Slider.250.234

At the end of the day, weather and wind are nice, but we need a pitcher that can groove a meatball in there for us. That pitcher in this game is Zack Littell. On the season, he has given up 26 home runs in just 120 innings of work. That’s not great. Of those 26, 14 have been to right-handed hitters, with 11 coming off his sinker and slider. Stanton smashes both of those offerings from righties. I think he puts one in the seats in his first at-bat tonight. Feels easy.

HR Parlay Leg #2 – Julio Rodriguez to Hit a Home Run

Sticking with the weather and wind angle, we can go to Sutter Health Park for our second move. The temps aren’t that high, but the winds are blowing out at 13+ mph in a park that is pretty receptive to winds. We’re talking about a minor league park here, people.

Lucky for us, Julio Rodriguez is absolutely on fire at the moment and will be seeing a pitch mix that he abuses.

Four-seam Fastball.324.167

Just like with the Stanton move, the pitcher will come into play with this one as well. He’ll see Jeffrey Springs, who is a lefty, which bodes well for Julio. Eight of Julio’s 18 home runs this season have been against southpaws. That’s huge when we consider the fact that only 1/4 of his at-bats this season have been against lefties. The guy is on fire with seven dingers in July and in an environment like this, he could easily add to that total. Feels right.
