  • We’ve got a full MLB slate to attack on Tuesday, August 19
  • There is no way for the books to avoid our dinger wrath on a day like today
  • See below for my +2751 home run parlay today

It’s Dinger Tuesday, so we need to look alive, people. We don’t have many of these things left, which is sad if we’re being honest. I wish we lived in a world where it was Dinger Tuesday every Tuesday, but the fact of the matter is, we don’t. These things end at some point, and that point is coming soon for us. Luckily, we still have a few left, and tonight is one of them. What’s even better is that there are two spots tonight that are obvious smash spots. We’re talking guys landing balls on the moon. Maybe even further. All we need to do at this point is just bet on these guys, sit back, and watch the cash roll in. Feels easy.

Please remember if you’re going to play these two bets, play both legs straight for a 1/4 unit as well as a 1/2 unit two-leg parlay. That way, you’re only risking one unit total, and you’ll be very close to profit with just one player going yard.

Altogether, both legs of today’s home run parlay generate +2751 odds at FanDuel, meaning a $100 bet would profit $2,751 if both legs hit.

HR Parlay Leg #1 – Juan Soto to Hit a Home Run

Every parlay needs the first leg to hit. That’s just how parlays work. So with that in mind, I think the smartest thing we can do as bettors is to make sure the first leg of our parlays hit. It’s a strategy that will stand the test of time. I just know it.

Lucky for us, Juan Soto is playing today, and he’s going up against Jake Irvin. There may be more than one baseball going home with a fan tonight.

PitchSoto ISO vs RHP (2025)Irvin ISO vs LHB (2025)
Four-Seam Fastball.297.160
Curveball.240.283

Obviously home runs are about the batter, but with a guy like Soto, we need to look at the pitcher first. We already know Soto hits the ball a ton, so we can just skip that step and look into Jake Irvin. When we do that, we’re going to see a guy who has given up 27 dongs in just 140 innings of work this season. That’s tough if you like Jake Irvin.

As fate would have it, 17 of those home runs have been to lefties. What’s even better is, Irvin has found a way to give up the dong on his curveball, fastball, and changeup. It doesn’t matter what he throws to these guys; the ball ends up on the other side of the fence. My guess is Soto goes old school and rides a four-seamer to the moon tonight, but it could just as easily be a changeup. Feels right.

HR Parlay Leg #2 – Manny Machado to Hit a Home Run

Now that we have a no-doubter leading us off, it makes the most sense to follow it up with another banger that has no chance of losing. Again, we’re trying to win this parlay, and to do that, all of the bets have to hit. It’s a dirty game, but someone has to play it.

Again, we’ve lucked out because our guy Manny Machado is playing, and he’s getting his favorite pitch mix from a pitcher that is becoming one of his favorites to hit against.

PitchMachado ISO vs LHP (2025)Teng ISO vs RHB (2025)
Four-Seam Fastball.232.190
Sweeper.179.429

Machado has only homered once in his last 19 games, so the books will never see him coming. The thing is, he’s hitting the ball incredibly hard. We’re talking almost 95 mph exit velocity in his last 15 at-bats against this pitch mix. At some point, the ball is going to have to clear a fence. The sweeper is the obvious candidate as Kai-Wei Teng throws it all the time, and it gets rag-dolled. Manny himself just hit Teng’s sweeper 326 feet the last time he saw one. I think one is going even further tonight. Feels right.
