It’s the best day of the week to bet on home run props. All 30 MLB teams are in action tonight as 15 games take place, and FanDuel has a great promotion for home run bets.
All users, both new and existing, can choose their home run promo today. They can opt in and claim a 50% profit boost to use on any player to hit a home run tonight, or they can claim a no-sweat home run bet, so they will get a bonus bet back if their home run pick loses.
I won a home run pick last Dinger Tuesday and won two home run bets the Tuesday before.
Keep reading to see my favorite home run picks and predictions for tonight, plus how I am using my Dinger Tuesday boost.
Home Run Picks Today
I have three MLB home run picks today, August 5.
Home Run Pick #1: Hunter Goodman (+390 at FanDuel with 50% Profit Boost)
My first home run pick of the day is Hunter Goodman of the Rockies. His odds to hit a home run at FanDuel are +260, which is normally too short for me to bet, but I am using my 50% FanDuel Dinger Tuesday boost to get +390 odds instead.

Goodman is red-hot right now and has hit three homers in his last six games. He is in Colorado, and he is facing Jose Berrios, who gave up two home runs in his last start. He has also given up six home runs in his last four starts.
11 of the 19 homers he has allowed this season have come on the road, and now he is at Coors Field. Everyone on the Rockies is live to hit a home run in this matchup tonight.
Right-handed batters are slugging better vs Berrios and have hit 13 homers off of him.
Goodman has an exit velocity of 91.3 and a hard-hit rate of 50.7%. 15 of the 21 home runs that he has hit this season have come against right-handed pitching, and he is slugging .531 against righties this season.
I absolutely love Goodman to hit a home run tonight, and I love getting boosted odds on him.
Home Run Pick #2: Zach Neto (+430 at FanDuel)
My next home run pick today is Zach Neto of the Angels facing the Rays.
Ryan Pepiot takes the mound for Tampa Bay, and he has a 1.59 home run per nine this season. He gave up two homers in his last start and has allowed nine in his last six starts. Right-handed batters have hit 14 of the 23 homers that he has allowed this season. He now pitches in Angel Stadium, which is fourth in ballpark factor for righties.
Neto has 16 home runs this season, and nine of them have come at home. 12 of them have come against right-handed pitching, and he is slugging better against righties than lefties this year.
He is riding a three-game hit streak and has a home run and two doubles during that span. Neto also has a hit in six of his last seven games. He is seeing the ball well, which bodes well for his 91 exit velocity and 46.4% hard-hit rate.

Home Run Pick #3: Corbin Carroll (+420 at FanDuel)
My last home run prediction for Dinger Tuesday is Corbin Carroll at +420 odds.
He faces Yu Darvish and the Padres, and Darvish has struggled in 2025. He has given up two homers in five starts this season and has a 6.46 ERA. That number gets even worse when he is on the road.
Darvish’s ERA away from home is 11.88, and the two homers he has allowed have come on the road. He now pitches at Chase Field, which is third in ballpark factor.
Carroll is slugging .561 at home and has nine home runs at Chase Field. 19 of the 22 homers he has hit have come against right-handed pitching as well. He has an exit velocity of 92.3 and a hard-hit rate of 49.5%.
Carroll also has had a lot of success against Darvish in his career.
Corbin Carroll vs Yu Darvish
In 15 at-bats against Darvish, Carroll has eight hits, including two home runs and two doubles. He is slugging 1.067 against him, so I believe Carroll has a great chance of hitting yet another home run against Darvish tonight at home.
