We have reached another Tuesday during the MLB season, which means all users (new and existing) can opt in and claim a 50% profit boost at FanDuel to use on any player to hit a home run tonight.

There are 15 MLB games tonight, so all 30 teams are in action. The possibilities for this boost are endless. Bettors can place a wager on a superstar with shorter odds and use this boost to make their odds better. They can also use this boost on a longshot home run hitter to get even more value.

See below for my home run picks and best bets for Dinger Tuesday on July 8.

Home Run Picks Today

There are four MLB players that I am betting on to hit a home run today.

Dinger Tuesday Pick #1: Alec Burleson (+675 at FanDuel with 50% Boost)

My best home run pick on Tuesday is Alec Burleson vs Jake Irvin and the Nationals. Irvin has a 1.71 HR/9 this season and has given up six home runs in his last three starts. He has particularly struggled on the road, where Irvin has a 5.79 ERA and has allowed 12 of his 20 homers in 2025.

Left-handed batters have hit 11 home runs off of Irvin and are slugging .474. Burleson has been at his best against right-handed pitchers, where he has hit nine of his 11 homers this season. He also has a .308 batting average and is slugging .495 vs righties.

In his career vs Irvin, Burleson is 2-5 with a single and a home run. I am predicting that he hits another home run off Irvin tonight at Busch Stadium. He has four home runs in his last fourteen games and last homered on Saturday. He is seeing the ball well and has an exit velocity of 90.9 mph.

At FanDuel, Burleson is +450 to hit a home run, but with the Dinger Tuesday 50% boost, he is now +675, which is an incredible value for this matchup.

Dinger Tuesday Pick #2: Brendan Donovan (+630 at FanDuel)

I am staying in this game for my next home run pick. Irvin struggles with the longball, so I believe a couple of Cardinals could go yard tonight.

Brendan Donovan has just seven home runs on the year, but the All-Star has been hot lately. In his last 100 at-bats, Donovan has an exit velocity of 91 and a 50% hard-hit rate. He has also hit all seven of his home runs during that span and has a .597 xSLG in his last 32 games.

He has not hit a home run against Irvin in his career, but he is 2-4 with a single and a triple. Donovan has hit five of his home runs off righties, so at +630, he is a great longshot home run pick.

Dinger Tuesday Pick #3: Brandon Nimmo (+340 at FanDuel)

I am predicting that Brandon Nimmo hits a home run tonight against the Orioles at Camden Yards. Brandon Young is taking the mound for Baltimore, and he has struggled in his first four MLB starts.

Young has a 7.02 ERA and a 7.88 ERA at home. The two home runs he has allowed this season have come at home. Camden Yards is sixth in ballpark factor for lefties over the last three years, so Brandon Nimmo has a great chance to hit a homer tonight.

Nimmo already has three home runs in the month of July and has 18 total on the season. Lefties have also slugged .538 against Young this year. This is all great news for Nimmo, who has a 92.1 exit velocity and a 51.4% hard-hit rate.

Bet on Nimmo to hit his 19th home run of the year tonight.

Dinger Tuesday Pick #4: Nick Kurtz (+330 at FanDuel)

Nick Kurtz has been incredible for the Athletics since getting called up. The left-handed batter has 13 home runs on the year and an .818 OPS.

Didier Fuentes takes the mound for the Braves tonight, and he has a 9.00 ERA through three starts. He also has a 2.3 home run per nine, and all three of the homers he has given up have come on the road. He now has to play at a minor league ballpark where Kurtz has thrived.

Kurtz has nine home runs at home this year, and 12 of his 13 have come against righties. He has an exit velocity of 91.8 and a hard-hit rate of 47.5%. I believe Kurtz will hit another home run tonight at home against a struggling, young pitcher.
