The LA Dodgers may have just lifted their second World Series trophy in as many years, but I’m already looking ahead to next season. The 2026 World Series odds are out, and online sportsbooks like the Dodgers chances for a three-peat.
2026 World Series Odds
LA opened as the World Series odds favorites at +370, followed by the New York Yankees at +750. No team has won three straight championships since the Bronx Bombers in the late 90’s, but on paper this Dodgers team has all the ingredients to replicate the feat.
As for the Toronto Blue Jays, the team whose hearts were just ripped out by LA, they’re priced all the way down at +2000. That’s longer than eight other teams, including three that didn’t even make the 2025 postseason. Talk about disrespect.

Blue Jays are Biggest Value at +2000
If you think the Blue Jays are a one hit wonder, I’d implore you to think again. Toronto’s lineup destroyed enemy pitching this postseason, after performing exceptionally well during the regular season. The Blue Jays led MLB in batting average and OBP. They were top-five in scoring and OPS, all while striking out at the second lowest mark.
They’re led by perennial AL MVP odds contender Vladimir Guerrero Jr., who just capped off one of the great playoff performances of all-time.
Up and down the lineup they have players who get on base and hit for power, and few changes are expected heading into next season. George Springer is back at the top of the lineup, while Addison Barger is set to ascend to elite slugging status. Alejandro Kirk and Daulton Varsho add more pop from the middle of the order, and they’ll also have a healthy Anthony Santander from Opening Day.
And then there’s Bo Bichette. Last spring there was concern he might leave in free agency, but that’s not happening now. Bichette led MLB in hits prior to his late season injury, and picked up right where he left off in the World Series. He’s deserving of a big pay day, and Toronto won’t risk one of the faces of the franchise walking away in free agency.
As for the rotation, Trey Yesavage has the look of a future Cy Young winner. Ace Kevin Gausman is back, and there’s belief the Blue Jays will also resign Shane Bieber. The ladder was instrumental in their World Series run, and would be one of the best number three starters in all of baseball.
Toronto is built to get back to the World Series now, but isn’t being properly priced. I’d much rather have their roster and rotation over any other AL team, making them a clear value bet to repeat at +2000.
Dodgers Destined For Another Deep Run
As long as there’s no salary cap in baseball, the Dodgers will continue to rack up playoff and World Series appearances. Their bullpen and the bottom half of their lineup was a glaring weakness throughout the playoffs, and you can bet they’ll address those issues in the offseason.
Shohei Ohtani is and will remain the best player in baseball, while Yoshinobu Yamamoto is a future Cy Young odds champion. The rest of their starting rotation is as good as any in baseball, with Ohtani, Blake Snell and Tyler Glasnow offering opposing lineups little relief.
I expect them to target one of the big bats like Kyle Tucker or Kyle Schwarber in free agency, bolstering a lineup that led the NL in virtually every statistical category. I wouldn’t fault anyone for betting them to raise another banner, but only two franchises have ever won three in a row, and laying +370 on any team to three-peats is way too short of a price.
Mariners are the Best of the Rest
Until the dust settles and we see where some of these big name free agents land, I don’t love any longshots to win it all. The one team I can’t quit is the Seattle Mariners, who were 8 outs away from their first World Series appearance.
Seattle had Toronto on the brink thanks to its potent lineup, and its exceptional pitching staff. Yes, they have a few key bats to re-sign like Josh Naylor, Eugenio Suarez and Jorge Polanco, but the rest of the roster is largely in tact.
That’s bad news for the rest of baseball. The M’s are one of only six teams with a winning record every season since 2021. Their farm system owns eight of the top-100 prospects in baseball, including Kade Anderson the third overall pick in this year’s Draft who profiles as a future ace.
Speaking of pitching, Seattle’s top-four starters are all under contract for two more years, and they have Ryan Sloan waiting in the minors, who flashed top end stuff in his first professional season.
The Mariners lineup was top-10 in scoring, slugging and OPS in 2025, and features Cal Raleigh and Julio Rodriguez two of the AL’s most dangerous hitters.
Seattle is young (with only three regulars over the age of 28), talented and deep. They’re going to be a contender for a long time to come, and it’s only a matter of time before they make a World Series appearance. At +1300 they’ll get my money right away, and as soon as Divisional odds are released I’ll be betting them to win the AL West again as well.
