Rockies vs Braves Odds and Picks (Sep. 16)

Published:

- The Atlanta Braves are -170 home favorites over the Colorado Rockies in the afternoon finale of their three-game National League series on Thursday, September 16
- Entering Wednesday’s game, the Rockies were 3-1 in their last four games against the Braves
- Colorado’s 22 road victories are the third-fewest among NL teams
The long-range future is much brighter for the Atlanta Braves (76-67, 37-35 home) than it is for the Colorado Rockies (67-78, 22-51 away). Barring some unforeseen developments, the Braves are heading toward their third successive NL East Davison crown. The Rockies, meanwhile, will be missing out on postseason play for the third straight season.
When these two teams meet on the diamond, though, it’s difficult to choose the better team. Entering their game Wednesday, Colorado had won three of four, four of six and six of nine games from Atlanta.
Still, it’s the Braves who are being set as the -170 favorites for the Thursday afternoon finale of this three-game set. The Rockies are 3-1-1 in their last five series against Atlanta.
