LA Galaxy (-187) vs Houston Dynamo (+425), Draw (+300)

The Los Angeles Galaxy (7–8-3) will try to climb closer to the top spot in the Western Conference when they host the Houston Dynamo (4-6-8) this Friday at the StubHub Center in Carson, California (11:00 PM Eastern).

The Galaxy recently experienced a rare rough patch, going winless in seven fixtures. But the team has responded to the adversity, picking up six points in their last two matches, wins over the Vancouver Whitecaps (2-0) and Seattle Sounders (1-0). They now have 29 points in 18 games, good enough for fourth in the powerful West. They trail FC Dallas (37 points), Colorado (34), and Real Salt Lake, who also have 29 points but lead LA due to goal differential.

They have a good chance to turn the two-game streak into a trifecta tonight since they’re unbeaten at home, winning five games and drawing four while scoring 20 goals and allowing just eight. Their opponent isn’t one to be feared, either. The Dynamo are one of three teams in the West without a road win (0-3-7). On top of that, the team has just one win in its last seven games (a 1-0 victory over Philadelphia) along with four draws and two losses.

The last time the Dynamo won in LA was back in 2013. The Galaxy have taken two of the last three, overall, in the series.

There is nothing to like about Houston in this game. The Galaxy have the momentum and are great at home, while the Dynamo can’t win on the road.  Take the LA Galaxy to win their third game in a row.

Pick: LA Galaxy (-187).
