Rodriguez vs. Lemos Odds and Prediction

Marina Rodriguez earned just two wins in her first five fights after joining the UFC, but has since tallied four straight victories including five-round unanimous decision victories over Michelle Waterson and Mackenzie Dern in 2021.

Saturday night’s clash will mark Amanda Lemos’ fourth octagon appearance since mid-December. She has gone 2-1-0 in her past three fights, with her lone defeat coming by decision just 3:13 into her date with former champion Jessica Andrade at UFC Vegas 52.

Rodriguez quickly establishing her credentials as a knockout specialist, with four of her first six pro wins coming by TKO. She has since proved she can also go the distance by earning the decision in eight of her past 10 wins. Rodriguez also ranks third all-time among UFC women’s strawweights in average fight time, trailing only Joanna Jędrzejczyk and Yan Xiaonan.

The 35-year-old Brazilian is not much of a threat on the mat. Rodriguez has not successfully executed a takedown in six fights, and has been dominated when the action does go to the mat, with opponents racking up an average of over five minutes over control over her past six fights.

Amanda Ribas (win – TKO) Fight 4 Montserrat Ruiz (win – TKO)
Carla Esparza (loss – split decision) Fight 5 Lívia Renata Souza (win – TKO)

Lemos rebounded nicely from her loss to Jessica Andrade last spring by disposing of Michelle Waterson in her last outing in July. That win marked just the second time the 35-year-old has submitted an opponent since her early days fighting in her native Brazil.

Indeed, Lemos is far better known for her punching power, with seven of her 12 career wins coming by knockout, including six victories inside five minutes. Her five knockdowns are an all-time high among UFC women’s strawweights, as is her average of 1.56 knockdowns per 15 minutes. She also ranks third all-time with a significant strike accuracy of 55.7%, and has proven she can take a punch while absorbing an average of over three significant strikes per minute.

Pick: Lemos (+175)

Magny vs Rodriguez Odds and Prediction

Neil Magny will try to avoid falling out of the UFC welterweight rankings when he battles Daniel Rodriguez in Saturday’s co-main event. Magny has tumbled to No. 13 in the rankings in the wake of his second-round submission loss to Shavkat Rakhmonov in his last outing at UFC Vegas 57.

A winner in just two of four outings, “The Haitian Sensation” has seen six of his past seven contests getting decided by the judges. And while he has 10 career finishes to his credit, he has not ended an opponent’s night since tallying a first-round KO win over Craig White over four years ago.

Michael Chiesa (loss – unanimous decision) Fight 4 Mike Perry (win – unanimous decision)
Robbie Lawler (win – unanimous decision) Fight 5 Nicholas Dalby (loss – unanimous decision)

Daniel Rodriguez rides a five-fight win streak into Saturday’s action, capped by a split decision win in a 180-pound catchweight matchup with Li Jingliang eight weeks ago at UFC 279.

Rodriguez’ lone defeat since joining the UFC came against Nicholas Dalby, a three-round unanimous decision loss almost two years ago at UFC 255. A submission specialist early in his career, Rodriguez also sports impressive punching power, and has finished opponents inside five minutes in two of his past five victories.

Pick: Rodriguez (-105)

Other UFC Vegas 64 Picks

  • Mario Bautista (-300): Fresh off a dominating first-round submission win over Brian Kelleher at UFC Vegas 57, Bautista faces an opponent who hasn’t fought for 40 months
  • Jinh Yu Frey (+105): The key to victory for Jinh will be surviving the first round against Polyana Viana, who has never won a fight that has lasted more than five minutes.
  • Nate Maness (+175): Maness went the distance against undefeated submission specialist Umar Nurmagomedov last time out, which should prepare him well for the one-dimensional Tagir Ulanbekov
