The UFC Vegas 107 main event is likely a title eliminator as the fourth-ranked women’s flyweight Erin Blanchfield meets the fifth-ranked Maycee Barber in the Octagon. Blanchfield enters as a -238 favorite after winning 10 of 11 bouts. “Cold Blooded” has taken out a who’s who of the flyweight division in that stretch, defeating the likes of Molly McCann, Jessica Andrade, Taila Santos and most recently Rose Namajuna to climb the ranks. Blanchard is a dominant grappler with some underrated striking skills, who mixes pressure and pace well to time her takedowns.

On the other side of the cage, Maycee Barber is no slouch. “The Future” is finally starting to deliver on her early career hype, and has rattled off six straight victories in the UFC. At the end of the day, Barber is a tough out. She’s never been finished in her career, and her strength and scramble ability make it hard for opponents to find the finishing touch. The seventh-ranked lightweight in the UFC, Gamrot has defeated the likes of Jeremy Stephens, Arman Tsarukyan and Rafael dos Anjos while posting a 7-3 record. Thus, Gamrot will enter as a deserved -155 favorite on Saturday night.

However, Ludovit Klein is a slick striker with serious power and a nasty head kick that catches opponents off guard. His biggest challenge will be the takedown threat and relentless pace of Gamrot. Ultimately, I like Gamrot’s grappling to make the difference in this fight. When Klein overcommits to a strike, he’ll likely be easily taken down. I like Gamrot to transition to a dominant position once this fight goes to the ground and lock up a submission. At +900 odds, there’s a ton of value on Gamrot to win by submission.
